About Me

I have a diploma in civil engineering. I am a second born in a family of five. During my free time at college, I used to do hawking in the streets of Nairobi selling secondhand shoes. I love to socialize with people, especially the business-minded, and I am also in agribusiness in my village where I have started growing fruits.

My Business

I do sell ladies shoes. I decided to venture into this business due to its demand since ladies do change with what's new in the market which helps reduce loss since it's fast moving. I have been using the profit to grow the business. The costs incurred are: license, rent, wages to workers (I have one), electricity, and, at times, transport.

Loan Proposal

Granted this loan i will add more stock in my shop will buy the following items:
1)12 pairs of ladies boot at a cost of 5 dollars each being rainy season the demand is high later sell at 18-20 dollars each,

2) 24pairs of flat shoes at a cost of 2dollars each later sell at 9-10 dollars

3) 18pairs of official high and low heel shoes at a cost of 4 dollars each and later sell at a cost of 12-16 dollars .

The profit gained will be used to :
•Repaying this loan on time as stated
•Adding more stock (replacing what have been sold)
• Savings at least 1/4 of total profits for future expansion( to include official men's shoes)
•1/8 of profits to be saved for future needs and family emergencies

      Hi Francis,
      You are welcome.
I hope that your business continues to grow.
Although I know just from seeing that you save part of your profit for future purchases as well as another part of your profit gets put aside for contingencies, that you have forethought and that is a indicator of a successful businessman.
      All the best
      Michael.

      Hi Francis,
Sorry to hear the loan was unsuccessful.
I’m not sure how Zidisha works so far is guaranteeing funding goes, perhaps the best thing to do is just try again by reapplying for the loan and see if you get a better response this time.
      All the best,
      Regards Michael

Morning team, will the expediating amount be sent or what happens,my loan has expired being 75 %funded,

    • Fitri    Mar 29, 2018

Hi Francis, expediting service will give you guarantee that your loan will fully funded directly after you agree to use the service. This service is not free, as this service guarantee to fully funded your loan directly and will send the money to your account in 3 days. If Zidisha team unable to send the money in 3 days, they will refund the expediting service fee to your account in separate transaction. This fee at first were 10% from the loan amount, but recently I saw that the fee vary from 10% - 15%.
Not all account get expediting service.
