About Me

My name is Michael I am 24 single .I am the second born in a family of four and i am a holder of a KCSE GRADE C.I am social, kind ,loving and hard working. I am independent minded and creative. I am a designer and publisher where as I design business cards, company logos, wedding cards, letter heads, brochures, banners, and also do vehicle branding.
I have worked for so many people and institutions and performed as a musician in so many functions including political campaign rallies. I am also a musician and I compose, and write music.I like football and I also like volunteering. I have worked as a volunteer at WOFAK Kayole , huruma children home and many other children's home in Nairobi, during my free time where I offer my services in feeding the orphans ,cleaning the compound and rooms cooking and washing. I have been attending youths workshops and as well participating in youth program mes.I have also been able to attend so many program mes on entrepreneurship particularly at KEPSA(KENYA) .I have also attained some training with many NGOs where I have managed to acquire knowledge in Community development and care.
Since my main business is design and publishing, I wish to concentrate centrally on design and publishing to enable me increase my earning and fulfill my dream of becoming an employer in the near future. My main reason for starting this business was originated from my passion for the business, my profession, my training on entrepreneurship, availability of ready market, my customer’s base, and my obsession for being my own boss and the need to have my own income. For the purpose of expansion and commercializing my business, in order to cover other areas and to reach the cooperate world, there is a demand for extra capital and need to increase the production in order to meet the requirement of my growing customers and to attain my objective, I wish to apply for a loan.

My Business

I run a small design and publishing business in Umoja estate and have customers spread in Nairobi and it’s environ. My design and printing business involve printing and designing of banners, flyers, business cards, posters, letter head, projects printing vehicle branding, skin printing-shirt and cap branding and art work and Bill board designing and drawing. I also sing at functions particularly on occations and on weekdays where I am paid. I do as well produce CDs and run a business weekly advertiser magazine in to add onto my income. My main customers are domestic consumers, schools, public institutions, vehicle owners and churches. I also work for vehicle manufacturers on contract.
I have been in business for over one year and I use my income to fund the business and pay for the services including my upkeep.I can comfortably pay back the loan from my business which is running and my other sources of income .My monthly income is 45,000/=.

Loan Proposal

Dear Lenders, I kindly seek for a loan of USD 150 for purchase of a HP Three in one desktop printer for design and printing of burners, flyers, business cards, posters size A4 letter head and projects printing. The printer is good as it can be used for printing, photocopying and scanning. I am running a printing business and from the scoop of work I am having and efficiency and saving for maximizing profit, I need to have such a printer with the said specification.
After thorough marketing, I have been in a position to attract more corporate clients to add on my domestic clients hence the demand for increase in production and expansion. In order to achieve this and keep my clients by completing their orders in time, there is need for a better, modern and efficient printer which when purchased, will enable me increase my production, improve the quality of my work, enhance efficiency and maximize my profit for my printing and design business.
As I have already made some inroads and won some clients after thorough marketing, I wish to remove any barrier in front of me that may sabotage my business. The loan in request will be paid from my music CD sells and my printing and design work, I will be able to pay back the loan within the stipulated time.
Even though there is stiff competition in the printing industry, I am certain that by making and delivering the customers orders in time, and targeting those in informal sector and bringing them on board by selling them the marketing ideas for their products, I will be able to sustain my business.
