About Me

I was born in a typical rural area where the people strongly believe that girl children are not to enjoy the delicacies of formal education. They are rather to help in the kitchen and on the farm.
I was therefore brought up as a poor illiterate girl.
When I was about 15 years , my older brother who lived with his family in Accra came for me because a wealthy lady needed a maid servant.
When after some few months this kind- hearted young mother realized both the perseverance and the cleverness I displayed , she and the husband decided that I enroll in an evening literacy class so that I can later on train as a professional sewing mistress in a nearby shop.
For me dress making is rather a passion than a job for I love clothing people.
I am married and mother of 2 children , Abel , 15, who intends to be a computer engineer in future and Emmanuella who wants to be a physician when she grows up

My Business

I sew clothes for children as well as for ladies and gentlemen.
They need them every day at home , work places and for all occasions
Some times my customers would bring their own materials for sewing but most often I would buy materials and sew then m for sale.
Though all the sewing is done by me, I do depend on designers for serious designs which most of the customers prefer nowadays
The cost I incur includes rent and light bill for I use more than four different machines
The income of this business has so much helped in complementing the effort of my husband in feeding the family and pay children's school fees but also to grow the business
