About Me

I was born in 1989 in gatundu district in kenya. I grew under the care of my mother mrs. kiarie. On attaining the age of four years, i enrolled in nursery school after which i joined primary school. After a successful period of learnig, i completed class eight of which i passed with 319 marks out of 500 marks. i joined kairi secondary school of which on completion, i managed to score a mean grade of B(plain). i joined a youth social group in which we used to voluntariry assist the community in various activities. One year later, i was lucky to join a college where i trained in accounting course i.e. CPA. After this, i was lucky to secure a job with benjo(k)limited in thika town. am a hardworking man, innovative, creative and self-driven. Am commited to see that my dreams and visions shall come to be a reality one day.

My Business

As i work with benjo(K)limited, i have been able to come up with a part time business, in which i deal with the sale of different kinds of fruits such as water mellons, bananas, orages, mangoes, apples, pineaples and some others. i identified a good place near the thika town matatus main stage. i usually wake up early in the morning, to go and collect my stock in makongeni market(one of the largest markets in central kenya region) on your way to garrissa, where they sell to me at a lower price. After i come with them i sell at a little higher price of which i normally make a profit of between 800 shillings and 1400 shillings in a day. I normally collects two bags in a day and sell all of them. i have evaluated and seen that if i can be able to increase my stock to atleast seven bags, i can be able to make a profit of above 4000 shilling in a day of which i can be able to employ myself on full time basis. If i get a financial assistance, am sure my life can be transformed as i transform the lives of others.

Loan Proposal

I am much honored to post my loan
application on this platform of Zidisha,
as I had stated earlier on, my business
involves selling of import fruits
and local produced fruits. The loan which
am willing to acquire from
zidisha will really help me to achieve my
dreams.
I am intending to use this loan as I have
budgeted here below;
1. I will purchase blending machine
which will at least cost 10% of the
loan I will get, the reason I want to
purchase this is because I want to be
blending juice other than selling fruits
alone.
2. 30% of this loan I will acquire a
license permit from local
authorities and also from the health
ministry as its compulsory requirement
in my county when one sells
consumables.
3. I will also purchase a trolley to be
used for distribution of juice
together with fruits to customers in
their respective work places in town
because of recent high demand. I
estimate this expense to be like 20 %.
4. The remaining loan I will increase my
stock especially melon as they
stay for a longer period of time before
they perish and also another good
reason I need more of them its because
their season is almost over and I
will be a major monopoly in the market
hence I will increase their selling
price.

    Hallo lenders,

I would want to apologise for my delayed payments, of which I must say that it wasn'nt intentional. It was unfortunate for me because I got sick and was admitted in hospital for three weeks, and though there was someone running my business, i used a lot to settle the hospital bill. By Gods grace am back into my business and am trusting for a turnaround of things here. Otherwise the business is doing well and am looking foward to your full support in future. Thanks a lot for your patience

      Hi Samuel,
thanks for the update and your repayments! Some confusion was due to the post of Felix Abur that said you were fine and your business doing good. I'm very sorry to read you were sick and in the hospital. Hope you are now fully recovered! I wish you the best for your business, study and most important for your health!

    Hi Samuel,
you have now skipped your third repayment in a row...If business is good why the delay? It will reflect negatively on your on-time repayment rate. And lenders appreciate getting money back so that they can re-invest it with other borrowers. If there is a problem you should at least post an update explaining the situation...

    Hello Samuel,
congratulations on your fully funded loan!
I may be wrong, but wasn't the amount you originally applied for higher? I hope you will still be able to buy the fridge and pay for your school fees. I wish you the best and I look forward to following the development of your business!

Thanks so much Buzzel. The Fridge am talking of will be used to store already blended juice . The reason is because there is a rising demand for the same and you find that customers are queuing as they wait for me to to blend. So if I get the fridge, i will be blending in large quantity, store it in the fridge and now as customers come, they will not have to wait.
