About Me

My name is Kelvin Mwangi.
I was born in Nairobi county but I grew up with my grandparents since my parents had an accident when I was only 6 month and I was the only one who survived.
I'm handicapped that is one of my leg was cut but that doesn't make me less a man.
I went to St Francis of Assissi where I did my Kenya certificate of secondary education and passed with a B+ and later joined Maseno university where I did a course in agricultural engineering.
After campus finding a job was so hectic and most people used to stigmatise me due to my condition but I never gave up on my self.
I began finding a way out from my technical course and began poultry farming, fruits growing and also fruit selling parlour.
I make profits and I use them for my bills, rent and also save for my future.
I'm engaged and I'm glad to learn about zidisha through Facebook.
I am looking forward to expand my business, employ unemployed youth who are jobless or handicapped and also teach upcoming entrepreneurs the art of self employment through self believing, hardworking and having a positive determinations.
Thanks to all lenders , zidisha members and staff.
Shukran

My Business

My business entails poultry farming, fruits growing and selling too.
I make an average of ,40-60 percentage in profits and I use them to pay for my rent, savings, business expansion, and for my basic needs too.
I am looking forward to grow my business and create employment for a lot of youths and adults too.
I believe that through zidisha in general I will be able to grow my business and expand it.
Thanks for taking your time to read my profile.
Asante sana.

    Hello lenders.
I am disappointed in the way zidisha services are taking us down.
I cleared my loan today and since my next loan was 10,000 , I was told to apply the same amount I repaid,7900. Which after apply I noticed that the credit risk doubled and I only received 5,000.
I've tried reaching to the zidisha staff via the forum but all has fallen in vain.
My volunteer mentor is always offline.
To Laurie, kindly understand that in my account I'm still unable to post anything apart from my own profile.
The amount I received is little in such a way that I'll have to add my amount.
I believe in zidisha and I'm growing my business despite my condition.
    Thanks

    Hello.
I really have a question that needs some answers.
I've tried posting to the forum but I'm unable.
There's no place to create a new message and that has made me come and create my question here.
My volunteer mentor has been offline since on Saturday till now.
My question is about my credit score.
I've been paying back my loans on time and actually my next loan was to be 23k but I was amazed this evening to find that my next loan is 10k.
    What might be wrong?
I have tried reaching for help and even to Madam Julia but it seems that there are restrictions.
    Kindly someone help me
