About Me

I am the sixth-born in a family of nine and a 36 years old father of two.

I was born and raised in Embu, a rural area in Eastern Province of Kenya, but I moved and settled in Kinoo, in the outskirts of Nairobi, initially being being employed by building contractors until I developed sufficient skill and confidence to start out on my own.

My area is in building wooden houses - I currently take on small-scale building projects, and often partner with other established contractors as I do not currently have most of the building tools.

I hope to, through Zidisha loans, buy most of the building tools.

My Business

My business involves being contracted to build wooden houses.

I currently take on small-scale building projects, and often partner with other established contractors as I do not currently have most of the building tools.

I hope to, through Zidisha loans, buy most of the building tools, so that I will no longer have to share projects with other better-equipped contractors.

I will also no longer need to shy away from larger projects, which will in turn earn me better payments.

Loan Proposal

I request for a $ 100 loan to enable me buy a wood drill - I will top up with personal savings since the price of the drill is $ 170.

I currently take on small-scale building projects, and often partner with other established contractors as I do not currently have most of the building tools.

I hope to, through Zidisha loans, buy most of the building tools, so that I will no longer have to share projects with other better-equipped contractors.

I will also no loner need to shy away from larger projects, which will in turn earn me better payments.

Lincoln, it is better to reschedule your payments and make smaller payments than to pay nothing.. Lenders are reluctant to lend for future loans when your payment record is poor. Your VM is giving you good advice!

My utmost apologies for not being able to pay as earlier pledged.

Business has been really slow these first two months of my customers seem to have spent most of their money taking their children to school.

I therefore request to adjust the repayment amount downwards for now.

Since school's close by the beginning of April, I am hopeful that business will improve in the course of March and I will be able to readjust the repayment amount upwards then.
