About Me

My name is Akosua Appiah. I am 39 years old and I am single. I have been living in Berekum since I was a child. I have lived in other parts of the country but I am now back to continue my once comfortable life that I had in my hometown.
My mother's name is Afia Appiah and my father's name is Agyei Appiah. Though I did went to school but I was not able to keep up with my peers due to the fact that, much attention was given to my senior brothers as it is normally done in many
Ghanaian communities until recently when things have changed. I was fortunate to complete second cycle education but I was not able to further it due the little attention that my parents gave to us as already stated. I went to Accra (Ghana's capital town) to search for greener pastures. I got employed by one Mr. Gyabaah, a cybercafe owner and from that day I have been drawn to the use of computers and the internet. I was able to learn a lot while working and it has been my main source of income. Finally I am back at my hometown now, I have started my own Cybercafe and I can now call myself an entrepreneur.
People love my services and I am easy to talk to and one thing that I value a lot in my life is trust.

My Business

I am a cybercafe owner and I wish to expand my cafe and make it big. There are a few cybercafe in my hometown operating. If I could be a big part
of it, I think we will be able to successfully serve the Berekum community and its surrounding villages and eventually benefit from our services. The operating cybercafe are not enough to serve all the people who approach us almost on daily basis to seek information or register for schools, job applications, and other transactions that requires the help of the internet.
I have gain much experience and expertise in the cafe business and as such can help a lot of people and my family with that. The internet services business is very lucrative and there is money flowing to us. This will help me to pay the loan on time.

Loan Proposal

I want a loan of $588 to invest in my cafe business. I would like to buy another computer to attach to the existing ones to help contain the daily pressure I face everyday. The computer comes at a cost of $175. I would like to buy a large printer machine at the cost of $400 . I would later spend the remaining amount on A4 sheets that we use in printing documents. I believe with that I can improve my business a little further to enable me serve the community that I live in and my family as well. My cybercafe is open 24/7 and we make profit on daily basis and with that I would be able to repay my loan . Thank you
