About Me

I am Wambui Jane Wairimu. I am a first born of three. When I was born, my mum was 16 yrs. old. She was not ready for parenting and she left me to be staying with my grandmother. She was a single parent. I was brought up partly by my mother and grandmother. I started working at ten years old as a casual worker together with my mum. We lived in a single room. When I finished my primary school and my mum was not able to pay for my fees, the church I used to attend did a fundraising for me to go to high school. On my KCSE time, my mum passed away leaving behind a 1 month old kid. I joined a company as a cleaner and enrolled for the CPA which I do part time. When I was a small girl, I used to take care of my Grandmother`s poultry. That's how I got interested.

My Business

I have a desire to be a large-scale poultry keeper and do goat rearing. I started last year but, unfortunately, dogs raided my chicken. I have started this year with one chicken but it is challenging to me to build a bigger house since I have no skills and finances. I have a goal by the end of this year: I will have over 20 chickens and two goats. I am doing pure traditional breed of chicken which is very tasty and has a good immunity. I intend to use the profits for the poultry enlarging and educating my siblings. I will be selling eggs and chicken and use the manure for small-scale farming. I have a desire and moreover everyone is turning to organic products.
I also intend to use finances to acquire land for large-scale farming as the flock grows.

The fees will include $ :
