I am 27 Years Old and 3rd born in my family of seven .My parents struggled to see us through in education through secondary until I did my Diploma in Agriculture in Egerton. I cleared in 2012 and after which I tried to get employment but I could not get any vacancy. All along in my life I have always been business minded and while in College i could come sell Vitenges (Cloth material for Ladies )that is during long holidays. In 2014 I started the businesss of selling Ladies
' vitenges " (Cloth Material) in local markets during market days. After Eight months I moved in to a shop and stock it with mitumba (Second Hand clothes) plus children ladies and mens clothes e.g Shirts ,trousers jackets and sweaters.
The unique thing about this place is that people are friendly and the family is highly regarded.The major
Currently I have One child who is 2years Old.
My hobby is teaching young children and the youth in churches and I always visit Children Orphanages where i do cleaning of the compound, sing with the kids and give some spiritual and life skills class.In addition I also engage in youth leadership and empowerment in my village.
I wish to diversify my business into poultry keeping.This will help me gain an extra income as i have seen that there is an unmet demand for eggs here in Kenya.In addition the population is very high and need for eggs is always available.
I therefore wish to rear 200 Layers which I have purchased using my savings.However the cost of feeds for the layers is very high .I wish to request for a loan to help me in purchasing feeds.
I will use the loan in purchasing feeds for my poultry and maintaining the flock until they start laying.The cost of quality poultry feeds is high therefore this loan will help me acquire feeds as the chickens laying is around 40%.Once the all flock will start laying I will be able to get a better income amount daily.I will then be able to repay the loan comfortably.
I will use the loan as per the following breakdown
1.Improving the poultry house floor and wall= 180$
2.Feeds = (1Bag Per Day Costing 20$) =100$
2.Vaccine = 100$
