About Me

I am 27 Years Old and 3rd born in my family of seven .My parents struggled to see us through in education through secondary until I did my Diploma in Agriculture in Egerton. I cleared in 2012 and after which I tried to get employment but I could not get any vacancy. All along in my life I have always been business minded and while in College i could come sell Vitenges (Cloth material for Ladies )that is during long holidays. In 2014 I started the businesss of selling Ladies
' vitenges " (Cloth Material) in local markets during market days. After Eight months I moved in to a shop and stock it with mitumba (Second Hand clothes) plus children ladies and mens clothes e.g Shirts ,trousers jackets and sweaters.
The unique thing about this place is that people are friendly and the family is highly regarded.The major
Currently I have One child who is 2years Old.
My hobby is teaching young children and the youth in churches and I always visit Children Orphanages where i do cleaning of the compound, sing with the kids and give some spiritual and life skills class.In addition I also engage in youth leadership and empowerment in my village.

My Business

I wish to diversify my business into poultry keeping.This will help me gain an extra income as i have seen that there is an unmet demand for eggs here in Kenya.In addition the population is very high and need for eggs is always available.

I therefore wish to rear 200 Layers which I have purchased using my savings.However the cost of feeds for the layers is very high .I wish to request for a loan to help me in purchasing feeds.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan in purchasing feeds for my poultry and maintaining the flock until they start laying.The cost of quality poultry feeds is high therefore this loan will help me acquire feeds as the chickens laying is around 40%.Once the all flock will start laying I will be able to get a better income amount daily.I will then be able to repay the loan comfortably.

I will use the loan as per the following breakdown
1.Improving the poultry house floor and wall= 180$
2.Feeds = (1Bag Per Day Costing 20$) =100$
2.Vaccine = 100$

    Zidisha team and Lenders,
    I wish to convey my sincere apologies for my delayed repayment.The main reason that occasioned this is that my poultry house was attacked by some wild cat which killed 75 chicks .I later on become unwell and went to Litein Mission hospital where I was diagnosed with Typhoid. I am still under medication but my health is improving.
    I have been unable to repay for three weeks as i used the money I had to reinforce the poultry house and some for drugs.
    Once again I am sorry but i hope to start repaying by next week.

    Thank you.

    Kind Regards,
    GILBERT

    Dear Adam Ohman,

    My business is doing fine ,though challenges never miss but with hard work and persistence we keep improving.
    I decided to diversify my business and engage in agribusiness venture of rearing poultry this was after I saw a big gap in supply of eggs.I am very optimistic that my farm will keep growing.
    The major challenge here is feeds for poultry needs more finance as they are costly however I am very grateful to Zidisha as recently my loan was funded fully.This loan will help me in feeding the flock.

    Thank you so much for appreciating my work Adam.

    Cheers From Kenya

    Good evening all, I will not be able to pay my full installment this week because business hasn't been good because most customers are sending their children to school so they don't purchase non essential goods.
