About Me

my name is Julius Ooko , I was raised in mama watoto Orphanage in Busia county western . I really never had a chance to set my eyes on any of my parents neither do I know any of them. I tried inquiring from the orphanage management and was informed that I was abandoned at a health centre when I was three weeks old. my heart sank ,but I am still hopeful I will meet my parents and other family members.
I went to st Christopher primary school and later joined Allience High ,where I completed secondary school. I really never had problems at the secondary and primary school,I was admitted to university of Nairobi to study veterinary medicine. At these time our mother who was managing the orphanage passed on .There was mismanagement of funds and corruption and barely six months later ,the long serving orphanage was shut down. Tears rolled down my eyes not because of me but because of 100s homeless students. Luckily I got a scholarship for fees but i had to cater for my other basics. I went back to my home town, and as I was walking in the village I met Mzee Otieno, who agreed to give me a piece of land at a fee to be paid later. With little savings i had ,I youths to clear the land. After three weeks ,I was busy with Edward a homeless boy,I took after the orphanage collapsed planting kale's. Mzee otieno agreed to accommodate Edward who would be attending primary school in the nearby school.
We made sells and bought Edward books as well as my basics at the campus.
I do not know my community but grew up in diverse community, the most upheld value is sharing. We grew up knowing that you should never let a friend suffer.
I am a third year university student with no family but my small adopted brother Edward whom I value so much. Edward wants to be a pilot.
During my free time I watch soccer and play football. I also take time to teach Edward.

My Business

My farm is a small scale farm, that provides healthy, fresh and nutritious vegetables to the society. I sell my produce to the town people who do not do farming but heavily relay on green vegetables to supplement the meals.
I choose these business because it was easy to maintain, required low start up capital and the returns were good.
I spend $50 on transportation and labor .My profits average is $200 per month. I use my profits to pay school fees for Edward and to cater for my bills at the campus.I also donate 5%of my income to a nearby orphanage.

Loan Proposal

I am happy to represent to you my loan proposal once again, hopeful that you are in good health and happy. I would wish to complete buy manure for planting my new farm, and a wheelbarrow to ferry the manure to the garden. I also promised the head teacher last week that I would make fees payments for my young sibling ,next week and would wish to keep my promise. I am kindly requesting you to help me achieve my dream. I believe I can. Thank you in advance
