About Me

I am jame mutune musau. I was born in kagundo, that is in machakos county.i was the first born in a family of seven. Two boys, six girl. We were brought up in hardship area in eastern part of the country . It was hard growing up but we managed. Personaly i trained as a designer in tailoring after moving to nakuru to make ends meet.

My Business

I have a business in nakuru town, i started of as a trainee after being employed for a period of ten years, i felt i had gained enough experience to venture into private practice and i now ran my own tailoring shop. i now feel it a ripe for me to try and extend my business. I make atleased US dollars 3 to 4 as profit a day.

Loan Proposal

I am in a business of making all design garments for both male and female and also kids and toddles. My biggest passion is African attire and traditional designs. I also make designs for different events. I get orders for traditional wedding designs and also main weddings. My biggest undoing has always been lack of material for ready made attires. For this business to grow, it needs attractive display for my designs, that's why I need funding to buy materials for my designs. It's a business with a very big potential only that it needs pumping in of resources and I believe with zidisha I am going to make it. I like the flexibility from zidisha. I will be greatful since I know of friends from zidisha family that have gained slot since partnering with zidisha and are now realizing there potential. Thanks again.

Thanks Nick for your help. I am still new on zidisha and I am a little confused about my credit limit. I am getting a credit limit of ksh's 431 with a disbursement of kshs 31. This isn't my first loan as being put on zidisha page. I had qualified for a credit limit of kshs 1221 deduction I got 151. I am not sure why I'm being told 431 is my first loan. Help please.

Hi James, Yes, your credit limit seems very low. I'm afraid I am new to Zidisha too so cant tell you how it works. Perhaps you could ask your mentor Angienda to explain?

        Dear James,

Because it’s your first loan you will have to pay a one time membership fee. This is deducted from your current loan. More info about this can be found on the Borrowers FAQ (www.zidisha.org/faq#borrowe...)

You can find an overview with the calculations on your “your credit limit” page. (www.zidisha.org/current-credit). Before taking out a large loan, you must first build creditworthiness by repaying small test loans over a period of time.

        Kind regards,
        Joost
        Team Zidisha
