About Me

I love farming. When I was a small girl we used to help our parents do farming and here is why I got the passion.

Farming entail a lot of activities form land preparation to the final stage of ensuring the harvest is sold.

Since currently I do not own land I have to lease. After leasing I undertake ploughing then harrowing. Thereafter I have to plant then do weeding and guide the crop up to maturity. In between I have to spray pesticides and second and third weeding if necessary.Do not forget also that have to hire people to help in the farm.

During harvesting time have to ensure that I have sufficient labor to assist me. Transport is necessary to ensure that my crop reaches the home where I store ready for sale.

My Business

My business entails farming Millet and will use my first loan difference to secure pesticide. Have already leased an acre land . I have to get more funds for ploughing ,harrowing and labor among other costs.

Millet is used for cooking delicious ugali in kenya and it has great demand unlike maize. Millet is also drought resistant hence can do well even during low rain season.

Loan Proposal

The loan of Ksh 15625 will be used in my millet farming and enable me to get 10 bags per acre. Millet isa delicacy cause it used in preparing Ugali and it is thought to have medicinal value. I appreciate the support of my lenders in the past and do request your support too this time round

Received the loan 14,843 KES. Thank you lenders thank you Zidisha. The loan will go a long way in ensuring my millet farming business plan is on track. Securing pesticides will ensure that the crop grows well and yields gets more hence better harvest.

Millet being drought resistant and delicacy is preparing porridge and Ugali in Kenya means it is in high demand. I once more thank the lenders for their unwavering support and Zidisha for being there for me and getting the capital in an easy way.

The loan helped me a lot. The challenge with my repayment was due to other family commitments and bad weather which affected the crop that had planted

    Hi Lenders.
I had a long and candid tlk with Grace. She is a teacher by profession and recently got a baby. The employer hasnt paid her salary from the time she delivered and thats the reason why she has not been able to pay her loan. I also talked to her about the high installments she quoted and encouraged her to adjust to a comfortable level she can be paying weekly and also to make sure its spread for more than three months for her to be eligible for the next loan.
Grace promised to adjust her loan instalments and clear all her arrears and update her payments by 8th January 2016.
I wish Grace all the best and her baby .
