About Me

I am a gentleman born and raised in Central parts of Kenya, Nyeri to be precise.
After my high school I moved to Nairobi for my further education and later began working.
I ventured in tourism and majored in Travel Management and now I have earned the skills required of being a professional travel consultant.

Am working to becoming an entrepreneur in Cosmetics Products in Nairobi Kenya and later to Kenya as a whole. Mine is selling products from the fast selling brands in Kenya.

I have however decided to further my studies in Tourism and I know I will get the help I require financially from Zidisha. I have not left my business idea coz am sure when I further my education I will be able to raise more for my business from my salary and also from the help of Zidisha

I believe that in whatever small ways I may contribute to changing the society I am assisting in making the world and in this case more Kenya my motherland a better place to live for me my fellow Kenyans and visitors from other nations.

My Business

Rainbow Cosmetics Kenya is the name of my business with its operations in Nairobi. I have been operating the business majorly online through my Facebook Page (Rainbow Cosmetics Kenya) *RCK
I have already registered the company and still working towards having a physical shop.
What does RCK do? I sell cosmetics products from the renowned brands in Kenya and those venturing in the Kenyan market and also having a dream that one day I will also become a manufacturer of some cosmetic products.
I have been in the business for now 1 year but I can say I am yet to exploit the market which is a vast one in Kenya but this has been because I still work so that am able to pay some of the other bills that I the business cannot meet. I however, through the business manage to take care of my families bills that is why I have not given up on it.
I would like that when I start a physical location I will be able to at least change someones life by giving them employment and with this I will have touched someones life directly or indirectly.
I know through Zidisha I will be able to make my dream come true through your funding that I will be receiving.

    This is to say thank you so much for the loan, I received an amount of KES 18,734 this will go a long way in my school fees. I will be enrolling for an IATA certificate course (Understanding the travel customer & Assisting passengers with special needs) in the course of this week and will give updates in my journey.

    In order to help improve my career in the tourism industry I am going to undertake 2 courses both certificates to be offered by a recognised institution, IATA each at $100

    1. Assisting Travellers with Special Needs

    With the loan i received i purchased more stock for the cosmetics, it went a long way because when people asked for the products they were available.
    I have managed to make a profit of around $40 per week from about $10 or lower previously. I have managed to also learn air ticketing and working hence the loan plus by salary will go a long way to enabling me become self employed and create employment to other people.
    I managed to take a short holiday to the Mara which was life changing.

    After some business challenges here and there am now back and stronger. They sky is the limit.
