About Me

I am a family man with two children who are currently schooling at a local primary school near my place of residence. I have had a passion for business for a long time and have a small auto spares shop running at Thika town. However, i have faced some challenges mainly due to lack of adequate capital yet the local banks who are the main lenders charge so high interest rates and other hidden charges that discourages borrowing. The demand is quite high in the region since it has become a center for building materials like machine cut stones and sand, hence there are so many transport activities taking place translating to vehicle maintenance demand.

My Business

My business is fully focused on vehicle spare parts where i stock and sell both new and second hand spares. I purchase my products from Nairobi direct from those who import at a considerable price hence making my selling price a bit more favourable to that of my competitors. I have as well established a good customer link especially through the mechanics personnel around the area who brings targeted clients closer. I have also employed a mechanic trained person who makes sure that the stock bought is of good quality and also offers a good after sales services to clients. Having my capital base harnessed will enable me import some of the stock direct from places like Dubai thereby greatly improving on my returns.

Loan Proposal

I greatly appreciate the whole zidisha team for offering me an opportunity to boost up my business. I intend to use the funds in purchasing of some more items especially the fast moving spare parts such as reflectors,spotlight bulbs,grease,bolts and nuts,seals,lubricants,bushes,bearings,fuel filters, cables,switches,screws among others. However, this being the first loan,I will form the basis upon which I shall manage to get subsequent loans which can positively change my business in terms of output. I will also utilize around 3000 from the amount to print an advertising banner which i will hang at a strategic place near the entrance of the business premises to attract more customers.
