About Me

Hello my name is Kessenger Magiya and my nickname is Kess. I was born on November 06 1984 in living in Nairobi with my family, my wife with our six years old son. I am a simple, positive thinker & punctual in nature. Accustomed to being around primarily adults, I was always mature for my age. Even my own friends often annoyed me during my adolescent years. I had a lot of people who invested in me, and I excelled at most of my many and varied hobbies.

I opted for Computer Applications as my optional unit at my undergraduate level in Business Computing Degree from Kampala University and I did more on Internet because I personally I needed change in my life of using internet based communication other than the post office mails with my parents constantly reason being in a foreign land with lot of challenges. I had my O- levels from Menyenya SDA High School which is located in Nyamira County some part in Kisii land after a successful completion of my A- Levels from St Mary’s Mosocho primary School. Playing Harmonium, listening music, drawing, cooking and outing/touring with friends are my interests. I play Badminton and Volleyball to keep my body fit and fine. I'm also a good swimmer.

Due to lack of jobs or few job opportunities in our country I opted to be an entrepreneur and started a cyber café business at Ongata Rongai with the savings I had saved while working with Nairobinet Limited before the company collapsed due to mismanagement of funds.

My short term goal is I want to win present circumstances and take on my career with a good path. While my long term goal I want to become a respectable person in my profession and one of the successful people in the Information Technology industry & achieved high respect from the society.

My Business

I am into Internet business as I had earlier mentioned where I am proud connecting people to the social world using the social network via the Internet cables. ie facebook, twitter while chatting and making new friends online while others do online jobs to earn a living. Due the convenience purposes and the location of the cyber cafe, I have managed to tap the estate dwellers to my cyber shop by offering quality customer service and cost friendly in such a way that they aren’t socially economically or politically isolated by charging them 0.00553 USD per minute. And I also offer computer applications packages training class in the morning hours before the peak of the business.


My goal is to provide the community with a social, educational, entertaining, atmosphere for worldwide communication and training in Information Technology basics regardless of age. This is because of the growth and change in this industry from analogue to digital communication. And future I will be able to provide its customers with a full featured modern Internet cyber café well equipped with modern equipments with high speeds taking advantage of the Government fiber optic cabling across the country with the big players in the industry. A unique, upscale, and innovative environment is required to provide the customers with an atmosphere that will spawn socialization. Successful operation in a year time will provide business with customer base that will allow it to be self sustainable and in the following years there will be significant growth to more advanced levels.

I believe that friendship is one of the most important values in human life. We exchange new ideas, find many interesting things about each other and experience new things. I appreciate friendship and people who surround me. Thanks to God for giving me a resourceful friend Justus Mutinda who introduced me to Zidisha Micro financing and it’s by God’s grace and timing.

Loan Proposal

Securing a loan facility from Zidisha will enable me to expand my cyber cafe business by the following: Will purchase three crone machines (computers) that estimated to cost 50 dollars to fill up the already partitioned networked space thus increase my daily returns or collections and also more space for computer class for Computer Applications lessons which also will increase my income for my personal and business growth while servicing my loan. With the growth am anticipating to get will enable me to rent a big space and purchase a number of new and high speed machines thus boosting up the speeds of Internet connections and downloading speeds taking the advantage of the fibre optic cabling which the government and the big player in the Internet Service Providers are connecting to every part of the country

Am also planning in future to expand my business to the next level where I can be able to provide Internet connections to each home via wireless platform in the whole estate and its environs by setting up different access points within the estate. My goal is to provide the community with a social, educational, entertaining, atmosphere for worldwide communication and to provide the customers with an atmosphere that will spawn socialization and their work.

This effort is financially massive because it is a big boost that will enable to think bold on how to grow fast into business and take roots with the assistance of Zidisha microfinance which is on its kind unlike our local banks that cannot offer such facilities on light minded people who wish to entrepreneur.
