About Me

I am a young agripreuneur, who despite the financial difficulties of my family defied all odds to become the first graduate from my family. I grew up in a village where farming is the main occupation of its inhabitants. Given this background of where I grew up, my passion and love for agriculture has led me to start my own farm as a young graduate. Despite all the risk involved in agriculture, with my in depth knowledge in agribusiness management and my passion for agriculture, i want to demonstrate to the teaming unemployed youths in my country how profitable agriculture is.

My Business

Currently, I produce high quality maize and sorghum which is supplied to some top companies in the country. The low level of moisture content in my produce as a result of the geographical location of my farm, makes it more desirable for industrial purposes.
The cost of land, land preparation, cost of inputs such as fertilizers, improved seeds etc, agro chemicals are but some of the few cost elements of my business.
My desire to expand my acreages every season has led me to plough back my profits and the quest to look for more suitable ways of funding the business

Loan Proposal

This loan when raised successfully will help me acquire an additional knapsack sprayer (15$)for my farm. This is in preparation for the upcoming farming season. This will help control fall army worms and other pests effectively thereby reducing crop lose and increase my productivity and subsequently my profits.

Reading this post about five years ago brings back nostalgic feelings while also instilling a sense of humility and gratitude. My last post here was on August 15, 2015, and exactly a month later, I had the opportunity to embark on a one-year internship in Israel. The internship was incredibly demanding, causing me to completely forget about this platform. However, I never forgot about my dream and project of applying to a Master's program.

During my time in Israel, I was able to save money from the internship and applied to several Master's programs in the United States. I was admitted in August 2019 and successfully completed the Master's program in July 2021 with a perfect 4.0 GPA. I have now begun my Ph.D. program and am currently in my third year. It has been an incredible journey thus far.
Interestingly, while working on my research today, I stumbled upon a post that reminded me of this platform. I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my donor and also apologize for not being able to repay them on time. Although the pay button is not currently functioning on my account, I will reach out to the help center and find a way to fulfill my repayment.

Ultimately, I believe I am now in a position where I can offer assistance to others as well.

I want to use this opportunity to say thank you to my Lender. This loan when disbursed is going to help me in my application process to the schools. This loan will be used to offset part of the application fees.
    Thank you once again.

The previous loan was used to support my application process for school. The loan came at the appropriate time and was very helpful.

In as much as I wish to finish my loan repayment earlier in order to increase my next credit limit, this reduction has become necessary due unexpected financial constraints.

As a first time of applying for this loan, I was really impressed how the loan was funded quickly and subsequently disbursed to my account. Even though, the amount was too small to make any significant impact, I am really happy joining this community. My aim now is to repay my loan on time and increase my credit limit.
In the long run, I desire also to help up coming entrepreneurs through this medium when my farming business is booming by becoming donor.
I thank all donors for their continued support. God bless you all.
