About Me

My name is Nathan Kamau Njang'i from Murang'a town and currently living in Kahawa Wendani in Nairobi. I am the third born in our family. I have studied business and Information Technology at Kenya Methodist University and I am currently a stationery distributor. My hobbies are researching, traveling and blogging. As a researcher, I market my business in blogs and website to look for more clients. I started this business a year ago after discovering that supplying stationery is not ventured by many, and it is less stressful since I manage my time, and create my schedules. Since I love traveling, I have developed a liking for supplying items and that's the reason I am currently doing what I love, supplying stationery (paper and office supplies, and writing implements).

My Business

I am able to fetch $400 a month from selling stationery. Therefore, from this income, I will be in a position to repay the loan because I have a constant income every month. Given the loan, I will expand my business by buying more stock. Basically, this business is very promising because I have a target market in Nairobi and its outskirts. More shops and institutions are being opened and this is a good catch. Like any other business, I am once in a while faced by challenges particularly with delayed payments which slow my transactions and expansion of my business. For instance, I spend close $700 to purchase rims, paper and office supplies and writing implements. After selling them, I get approximately $400 profit. However, this business is quite rewarding and given a chance to expand it, I believe that I will do tremendous. Once I am given the loan, I will be in a good position to purchase more rims, pens, and writing books which means that I sales will increase as well. I be in a good position to repay the loan in due time, say 2 months.

Loan Proposal

Given $150 loan, I will buy more paper and office supplies, writing implements, and books. This venture will increase my stock which means I will supply to more clients. Subsequently, my sales will increase and so my profits. My dreams of becoming renown stationery supplier and entrepreneur will come true.

I think its a good idea to restructure the loan and make smaller repayments that you can afford, until the business picks up again.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Kamau today. He informed me that January was a bit low business-wise but is confident come February business will be good. He's two weeks late on his payments and is expecting to clear the arrears in the coming days.

Hi lenders. I managed to talk to Njangi today and he informed me that business is a bit slow. There has been a decrease in demand for his supplies and this has caused him to fall back on his repayments. He's hopeful his business will turn around soon and thrive.

Hey Michiel, my sales have been fluctuating for a while now. However, for the past 2 weeks I have recorded seemingly good sales. My supply is now picking and I am grateful. Thanks for your concern and regards.

Hello Zidisha, I have opted to change my repayment schedule from 1479 KES to 500 KES for this reason; my business has not picked yet despite endless efforts to boost it. Therefore, I am not in a position to service my loan as I had initially planned. Based on my income, I will commit to contributing 500 KES weekly to repay my loan. Thanks for understanding

However, I made payments today and I hope that my business will pick and I will make more sales. I am thankful for this opportunity and I will cooperate as expected. Regards
