About Me

I am Serae Maku. a Kenyan aged 29 years. I reside in Pipeline area in the outskirts of Nairobi town. I obtained. I did my secondary education in 2004. I then did a Certificate in Information Technology in the year 2007. Since 2008 to 2011 i have been working in Cyber cafe as a cyber cafe attendant, 2012 is when i started my own business because i had enough experience. With the earning i am going to get From Zidisha i will purchase new machines to boost my business.

My Business

The name of my business is Phinex Cyber cafe, Located in Pipeline - Nairobi. I have 5 computer machines connected with Internet. 3 printers, a lamination machine and paper cutter. I started the business in August 2012 from my personal savings. The demand for internet is high because most activities are done online. for example job applications. The risk for the business is electricity black out and sometimes slow internet connections.

Loan Proposal

My name is Seraphine Makau residing in Pipeline Embakasi. First i would like to appreciate and Thank Zidisha team for the work they are doing in giving loans to people especially small businesses. this is greatly having a positive impact on their lives.

I do have a Cyber cafe business located in Pipeline area near Tumaini Supermarket off Outering road. i have 5 computer machines connected to internet. Nowadays the demand for online services is very high and some of the time the cyber is fully occupied. With the loans i have applied i will purchase an additional machine to avoid inconveniencing my clients and also increase sales.

I started the business in 2012 from my savings from my previous employment. I normally make a net profit of between Ksh. 25,000 - Ksh. 50,000 per month. so with the loan it will be easy for me to repay the loan on time.
