About Me
My name is Oscar Chirunga born in a family of Nine children seven boys and two girls.I was born and brought up in Kwale county in kinango sub county in kasemeni ward.i went to school in mnyenzeni primary and proceded to Taita Taveta county for my secondary education in a school called Munda secondary where i did my o levels.I later enrolled to Government institute in Mombasa and did financial accounts although due to financial constrain i was not able finish the course.I later moved to Mombasa town to look for employment but i was not able to secure one i decided to start my business of newspaper vendor.
My Business
I am a newspaper and Magazine Vendor where i sell all types of newspaper and magazines mainly those that are printed daily and are loved by majority of kenyans.I chose this kind of business because of the need i saw on my clients where the needed to read news.I receive the different types of newspapers every day from my supplier.I pay my supplier every end of week and the balance i invest at my home and also save some amount for my business expansion.
Loan Proposal
I thank the zidisha team for funding my first loan.Given this loan i intend to buy five dozen monthly magazines at a cost of USD 150 which majority of my clients are asking because they are very educative.The balance of USD 130 i want to buy a stand that i will use in displaying the magazines.This will also help in creating a job for another person because if funded i will open another branch for selling the magazines and the newspapers.
