About Me

I never knew being a single mum was such a challenge until i lost my job in january 2014. After applying to several jobs and attending various interviews without success, i decided to start my own business since am a trained caterer. i borrowed materials needed from a shop and made samosas that i sold to Daystar university students staying next to my place. The reception was superb and i must say students loved my samosas. I've never looked back since. I'm glad my best hobby is cooking so i sure enjoy what i do.

My Business

Since my samosa business had never disappointed me, i decided to expand the business a bit and add beef and pork sausages to the list of snacks that i made. The competition favoured me since i was the only one who sold door to door so i sold the most as compared to the rest who sold in small restaurants. Students love snacks so i was sure the business would do well and i will be able to repay the loan as agreed from the profits made weekly. I used the profits to buy more tools for use in the business and saved the rest, so repayment was not such a burden. Starting 2015, i expanded to a small restaurant serving all kinds of food and drinks and even changed location of the business to my home area. The business is doing good though i needed to add other equipment to add efficiency. So when i got my past loans, i bought more equipment and also managed to buy seats and tables since my customers had to sit somewhere to enjoy their meals. I must say the business is doing well and i am happy with the progress.

Loan Proposal

If i get the loan, i will make custom made seats and tables for my customers. My business has grown to a small restaurant with a sitting capacity of twenty people yet i still lack the capability t so buy furniture. The seats will be ten in number and will cost me 5000 kenya shillings, and the tables will be four in number and will cost me 2000 kenya shillings. The provision of the furniture will add good profit to the business of about 40%. This will be of benefit to both my business and myself, because i will be able to uplift the business and buy my household property that i sold earlier to help the business.
