I am a mother of a daughter aged one year and a half,i live in Naivasha at an estate called kabati,I come from a family of two and have attained a certificate in computer studies after clearing high school seven years ago.I have worked in various organization as a secretary until last year but one when i gave birth and decided to start my own business since day care seemed a little expensive and i found out that i needed extra time with my child where i would not strain so i saw the offer of my own business as the best.My business entails selling of second hand clothes and the profit range is quite good,The earnings i get i divide in half, where one of the half goes to saving for my daughters education and the other half helps in restocking of my business.I as much as possible to try the new trends coming out of the market.
My business entails selling of second hand clothes commonly known as Mitumba, they are bought in bale form where you choose what you will work with if it is shorts, trousers, baby clothes etc.My business i buy children clothes which i find the profit margin very fulfilling. The town i live in many people prefer second hand clothes which are a bit cheaper, affordable and unique.I buy one bale at a cost of 10000 and from it i make a profit of 6000 and more since i try an go to other towns on their market day like suswa which is on Wednesday. In any business there are risks and in mine i face the risk of bale cost hiking since the government has the plan to add it extra tax and also you might find some clothes tattered which one goes at an extra cost to mend them.Every month i spend around 1500/=on county council which is 300 per month and the amount left on transport and food when i go to outside markets.Every week i try to bring a new bale in order to improve my sales and attract new customers. The loan that you will grant me i will use it in restocking my business by bringing more sets of bales like three more since i always bring two. When granted the loan i will repay using part of the profit that i make from selling clothes.
Firstly let me thank zidisha lenders for the first loan ,it helped me a lot in expanding my business and also in employing a partner. My new loan will help me in partitioning my shop in order for me to be able to add another line of business which is mobile banking. In the area where my shop is located there is a lot of queries about mobile banking and since i acquired a big shop i thought it wise for me to partition and add the services.Business has been good since you started lending me with a loan.
