About Me

My real name is Sammy Kidiya Musera. Iam a third born in the family four boys. My parents are peasant farmers who have always struggled day and night to make sure that we are living a good life by providing us with all the basic needs. My life as a child was an interesting one because of the good company I had back in the village. Despite lack of enough funds to fund our upbringing, we got used to the small we had and lived happily
I went to Muhaya primary school and later joined chavakali high school . All this time I had a person who was funding my education upto the form four level. I performed well in my form four final exam and got a chance to join the university of eldoret which was being reffered to as Chepkoilel Univesity college by then. I pursued bachelor of science general. I graduated in the year 2011.
Life has never been so easy for me, I have always worked hard to achieve all the goals I set in life. After finalising my secondary education,I had no money to admit myself at the university,I had to go and work on peoples farms and I finally got some money to join the university. My parents had nothing at this time and so they were not able to fund me.
After realizing that my salary wasn’t enough for me and my family, I decided to start a business that would help pay my bills,I started growing bananas for a trial and after seeing that it paid well, I took it seriously upto date.
The place I come from has vry less factors that can make it unique apart from the cultural activities that are still very traditional. Some of this activities are so primitive and we elites are always struggling to do away with them.
I have one child who is 7 yrs old.My son is an artist naturally and whenever he is asked what he want to become,he always dreams of becoming a star in the entertainment sector.
Travelling is the thing I enjoy whenever I am away from work. I also enjoy reading novels and other documentaries.

My Business

My goods are entirely farm products with bananas being the main product grow bananas on small scale but am planning to expand it into a large scale business.
My goods are useful because they are easily available and can be accessed at any time and be used in homes as food. Bananas are full of nutrients and vitamins and this improves the immunity of anyone who consumes them. The reason as to why my goods are on demand is because they are of high quality and I always sell them to my customers at an affordable price.
Before starting this business and majoring in it I had thought about various kinds of business. I decided to major in this one because it was easy and very cheap to start. The seedlings were already available at a cheap price. The maintenance of this kind of farming is so easy since it does not require a lot of manpower. Bananas also grow at a very tremendous speed and the are always ready within a very short period of time. They pay well.
Growing bananas is a very cheap business since you only incur costs when weeding the farm. You also incur costs when transporting the goods to the market. During planting I also incur costs because of the labor provided.
The profits I get from this business I use it in doing several things such as:
I. Paying my son’s school fees
II. Paying house rent
III. Re investing into the business
IV. Paying bills
