About Me

My name is Sarah Gesare,i grew up in the native kisii village and went throuh school and college paying my school fees from my salary.I worked in a restaurant business as a waiter to finance my diploma course.A year ago i resigned from a employment to manage my own restaurant that my workers were not keen on helping me reach my vision.I have passion for this business and trust that with hard work, determination and God,very soon it shall mature to a chain of them.I love cooking and sampling new recipes. The restaurant is located in Kisumu City,Kenya, shores of Lake victoria a small town known as Mamboleo.Fresh fish is plenty here. When my children grow up,my first born wants to be a pilot, second one a clinical doctor and the last born who is still nine months is yet to decide. My pastime hobby is cooking, anytime.

My Business

Sadida Restaurant located in Kisumu Kenya is a business that serves african dishes on its menu for example omena and ugali, osuga and ugali, white rice and beans, githeri(mixture of beand and maize).People prefer african dishes because they dont love fast foods like potato deepfried chips since its not healthy. It started two years ago and so far it has grown tremendously since there is no other decent restaurant in the whole of that market. My typical costs are salaries, house rent, electricity and water bills, and food restocking. The revenue is KES 250,000 in a month on average.
I believe that zidisha will assist me purchase more catering equipment for outside catering services since thats a need right now.For weddings, funerals and birthday parties.I use the profits to pay bills, school fees for myself since am finalizing in my degree course and currently am working on opening its branch in the city centre.

Project Proposal

Will add more birds to the 50 that i bought using my previous funding, buy their feeds and enlarge their house abit with their feeding ad drinking materials..I expect a revenue increase of atleast kshs.5,000 per week from what it was kshs.3,000 before.
The eggs will be sold to the community, shared amongst the less fortunate and supplement my children meals.

The last money i got i bough more poultry for laying eggs. For a starter,i get 2 crates of eggs in a week. This has helped me sell them and repay my loan in good time and buy their feeds. My children can also supplement their vegetable meal with the eggs. The increased earnings i have added 5 more hens(layers). My next project i want to enlarge the chicken house and add 50 more layers.Egg prices in Kisumu City(Kenya) have shot thus a great venture.

Hi team,am very much greatful for funding my project.I will use the funds to add more hens in my poultry project. The hens will in turn hatch eggs to multiply the numbers and also lay eggs for sale.
The sales will in turn pay back the loan and contribute back to the community.

I am requesting change in my repayment schedule from Kshs.2900 to kshs.1000.
This is because daily sales revenue has gone down since the road near my restaurant is under construction.
I will again reschedule it upwards as soon as business pick.

    thank you
