About Me

My story
Gilbert Rosana is a
young Kenyan
businessman, who is
ambitious, humble and
go getter, an
administrator by
profession who exploits
every opportunity that
comes his way and
above all sees God as
his Hero and puts every
trust in Him. Am a first
born in a family of two a
position that equips me
fully with responsibility,
self reliance and action
taker so as to set a
good example to my
younger sibling and
other youths to the
society at large. Being
born and raised in a
humble Christian
background makes
respect a core value in
dealing with every
person from all walks
of life.

My Business

Mine is a small scale
poultry farm business
dealing with keeping of
hens and there after
reselling of eggs,
chicken and meat. I
consider poultry farming
because
1. Food is one of the
basic needs of man
regardless of the
economic situation,
human beings must
feed and since domestic
birds are consumable
that makes poultry
farming feasible.
2. High population
indicating a high demand
for food that is eggs
and meat.
3. With increased
awareness on the
health implication of red
meat and birds are a
source of white meat. I
make a large profit of
20,000/= kshs. from the
chicken per month,
helping me to invert
more in the business.
The business faces
many challenges such
as:
1. Outbreak of diseases.
2. Pests and predators.
3. High capital for the
upkeep.
4. Non-availability and
affordability of
vaccines.
However with all these
challenges the returns
are good

Loan Proposal

As I stated above after my course I started venturing in Agriculture more often rearing of poetry. I have been in this activity for more than one year and I really enjoy it since I supply some hens in big hotels and sometime in ceremonies. In such special occasions one hen goes in the USD 5.51 so as I get the loan I will go in for more poetry. This will increase the number of eggs in a day. In Kenya one egg goes for USD 0.17 for each. Let say if I add 20 hens using USD 66.21 then in a day I will have 20 eggs which means in a day I will make USD 3.33 and in a week USD 23.33 which means I will be able to repay back the loan.
In Kenya agriculture is doing very well even other than normal business.
THANKS A LOT GOD BLESS YOU.

Happy new year Gilbert. Hope you are doing well. This year I intend to venture into chicken farming too. Approximately how much does it cost to construct a chicken house that can hold 20 chicken.

happy new year too Joyce ... it depends on how you wish to make your chicken house look like a local one cant be too expensive whereas a modern can be abit expensive of which again is best. but for either way u may need approximately 10thousand.

Please Gilbert Rosana may you describe the location of your home into details. Correct any necessary errors such as board ( boda boda is not understood else where except in Kenya) a vehicle, one can locate a town called Cheplat ( assume one can not locate such a town as you assume)
Describe your location of your home like this:
On reaching in Nairobi Kenya, take your bus heading to Kisii town. On your way to Kisii town stop at Kijauri market. Kijauri market is 30KM from Kisii town. Here at Kijauri ask for the motorcycles which are there just on Kijauri stage. Ask them to drop you at Ensakia buying centre. Here at Ensakia buying centre my home is just behind. You will be able to see a one permanent house and at the far end you will see a tea plantation. My grand father here is famously known as OROO. just to mention a few.
    Thank you
