My name is Joan Wanjiku I was born as the second born of Wanjiru family in the rural area of kinangop where I was born and raised.in the year 2010 I came to nairobi to search for greener pastures where I lived with my elder sister. Life was hard and getting a job was proving to be futile...I landed a job at a bakery where i worked for 9hours and paid 80$ a month....i couldnt cope up with that so i quit the job. I got employed as a supermarket attendant wprking for 12hours and it paid 200$.The job was better since i could pay my bills i worked till 2014 where i got a job as a sports betting cashier. Being paid 450$.up to now i still work there.
I started farming from my savings in 2016 where I started with jus 1/8 of an acre which I planted cabbages and got a return of 400$.I reinvested the cash and added extra 200$ in a 1 acre farm but they were attacked by pest and only got 300$.I nearly lost hope but my family helped me with 600$ and a loan of 200$i planted on 2acres.I was lucky and the return was 1800$ and since then I researched and became large scale today I plant 6acres.The operation cost of farming the cabbages is roughly 2000$ and it can give a return of between 3000$ and 6000$ on low and high market prices respectively
We are planning to begin counterseasonal farming of potatoes.I had applied before and got the loan however my savings were not enough to prepare the land and plant the quotation sent to me was
Hiring of tractor for ploughing.... 80$
buying of organic manure..... 40$
installation of irrigation system... 120$
buying of seedlings.... 60$
casual labourers..... 40$
total cost is 340$
my savings were 280$
And all these processes begin simultaneously.I am in dire need of your help.
if i get this loan it wilk be a great help thanks in advance
