About Me

My name is Isaac Abiaw and I was born in the year 1975. I come from Dadieso, a farming community in the western region of Ghana. I was born by parents whose occupation was mainly farming. After completing primary school, I had to walk three kilometers daily in order to attend senior high school at Enchi in 1994 because there was no high school located in my community. Because my parents were peasant farmers, I always went to the farm with them before l got money to pay my fees. Unfortunately, my father died before I completed secondary school.
But because I was determined to pursue my education, I worked extra hard to fund my education. I completed university in the year 2009. After completing school, I taught in private school until I decided to establish my own school to educate the less privileged since education was not given much attention in my community. Because of the challenges that I have gone through, my children want to learn hard and become self-employed so that they can help others to succeed in life. I enjoy reading story books as my hobby.

My Business

I established this private school with the intention of providing education to my community members. I first started this by visiting house to house to teach the pupils at their various homes and later raised some temporary structure for the pupils. The establishment of the school is useful and in demand because most community members are now willing to send their wards to school and also reduce the burden of travelling long to a nearby community before having access to formal education. The principal aim of establishing this business is to enable children to have access to formal education and to become useful citizens in the society. The only source of revenue is the fees paid by the students and the parents teacher association of the school. The profit accrued is used to add more classrooms and also cater for the workers.

Loan Proposal

Let me first thank all my lenders for contributing to the success of my school. I am grateful to you and may God grant you long life to continue the good work.
My dear lenders, we have just began the first term of the 2017/2018 academic year and academic work is progressing steadily. Now my lenders, I can count on a students population of 133 pupils. However, the only challenge confronting the school is the issue of low enrollment of girls in the school. The ratio of girls to boys is too low. Out of the total population of 133, only 34 of the pupils are girls the remaining 99 are all boys. My dear lenders, one renowned Ghanaian scholar, once said "if you educate a man, you educate an individual but if you educate a woman, you educate the whole nation"
I have therefore decided to map up strategies to attract more girls to be enrolled in my school. With your kind assistance my lenders, I intend to use this loan to provide the following services to girls to attract more of them to the school.
Free school uniform for the girls=$200
Free footwear/sandals=$200
Exercise books=$150
Pens & mathematical sets=$100
Administrative=$200
Community sensitization on need to educate the girls=$100
My lenders, if I am able to do that, it will attract more girls to the school. This will increase my enrollment so that more fees can be collected to pay back my loan as I had always done.
Thank you and looking forward to see my loan founded on time.
