I was born in Nairobi, Kawangware estate Nairobi county 24 years ago. I grew up with a bigger vision, a bigger mind, a dream to become a banker. But what actualy came in between this wonderfull dream???
I started my primary education and eventually completed class eight with a certificate in Kenya primary education. In 2007 i joined a local secondary school where i begun to explore all the subjects as well as putting more efforts in mathematics and business studies so as to be a stepping stone to my dream.
In 2010, i completed my secondary education and passed with a credit of B+ but I could not join university due to financial constraints.
In 2011, I was employed on a boda boda where i started saving. I used part of the savings to enroll for computer class where i enrolled on an evening class after working during the day.
In February 2014, I bought a computer and a printer using the remaining savings from the boda boda business and started a cyber cafe.
In the cyber cafe, I deal with typing, printing, photocopying, scanning and internet browsing.
The first one and half years I encountered a lot of challenges to a point where I was about to give up but i continued to press on and eventually i caught up.
Having gained the ground, I may say my cyber cafe is doing good.
As i had mentioned already from my profile, I am currently operating a cyber cafe.
Where i stay consists of college where students normally come to my cyber cafe to photocopy handouts, typing, printing assignments, browsing and doing online research.
The people surrounding also come to make photocopies of their IDs,title deeds, making business cards, typing, printing their curriculum vitae, and browsing the internet.
My current business is worth KES 70,000 and so far I make a profit of KES 1,500 after incurring costs such as purchasing steeple pins, printing papers, credit for internet and printer ink.Am anticipating that these will grow up to at least KES 2,800 daily.
I intend to use half of the profit to reinvest back to the business by purchasing a server Pc.The other half of the profit i intend to use it for my college fees for a diploma in banking and finance which i already enroled on a part time basis.
I intend to use the funds raised to purchase a server Pc for my cyber.
With the server Pc, I will be able to manage my files well from one strategic position, with this, I will be able to serve my clients with different needs other than browsing. This will increase efficiency and as such i will be able to serve clients faster which will mean serving more customers which in turn will increase my daily income and customer satisfaction.
