About Me

i am the person of adwoa dorcas who haled from seikwa township and iam the second born to my parents. i started my education in the seikwa township and completed the basic education there. i am single and fair in complexion. i am twenty-five years of age. after completion of basic education i visited my uncle in berekum and i stayed with him for about three years and later he he sent me to learn bread baking and i understood because that was the aim of me going to that town. i learnt job for about three and half years and i became more qualified to start my own but to get money was a problem so my master offered me chance to work with her for a pay. thank God that i have started with my own.

My Business

adwoa dorcas bakery is situated in berekum brennyekwa on the road to seikwa. we deal in baking of bread for retailers and stores and when schools are in possession we supply some to schools too. when schools are opened i earned about 30 ghana cedis a day but when have vacated i earn less than that. this business is most beneficial to me because everyday i get something out from it also people will be having their breakfast each day and they will fall on me for their brakfast. the profits that i receive from it, i use some to pay my light bill and sends some home for my mum and dad who are now on their retiring ages.

Loan Proposal

when the loan is offered to me i will purchase margarine, baking flour, sugar and other products which will help the baking business. when i get these items the business will increase and the demand for the bread will be higher in the community. i will use some of my income to pay my workers and send some to my parents and also pays my siblings school fees. not forgetting the agreement sign between me and the zidisha team, i will also stick to the agreement.

There were no payments from August 2017 to May 2018, when I finally gave up and transferred the loan to the Zidisha Members Loan Fund. I still hope Adwoa can recover from whatever happened to her business.
