About Me

I am graduate from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. I'm a self esteemed person always eager to achieve my dreams. I have scooped several awards in academic performance as well as community development and mentor-ship programs.
I am a business oriented person and have achieved several diversified businesses. Upon completion I opened a IT retail shop based on selling computers and accessories as well as hardware/software maintenance. I continued with the business while still at college and it generated a good amount of money which enabled me move into rice farming which is quite profitable.

My Business

Food production is most important and highly recommended in any region. I therefore decided to venture into rice farming which is a highly profitable activity. The rice farming is normally one season per year and doesn't involve so much. I have a good management system through corresponding. I have so far managed to farm 1 acre and upon harvesting, it took me to the other business of rice supplies. I took my harvest to rice millers and after processing it, I started looking for market where I sold and went back to Mwea, purchased another stock and continued with the business of selling rice to the local market near my area of residence and established a good stable business. I now have a small well stocked shop located at a good strategic place near the entrance of the market. Zidisha first loan boosted me in registering a brand name, and added more stock which resulted to a good increase in sales and even worn several tenders to supply the product to local supermarkets, hotels and to other retailers. Due to my adequate experience in the rice production and sales, I normally get the best quality constantly, retaining my customer and attracting even more.

Loan Proposal

Rice farming is one of the main cash crops grown in Kenya and has a very great impact on the Kenyan economy.it has drawn much attention and attraction globally.for instance, China has stepped in for a mega dam building project in the Mwea irrigation scheme. This will enable an increase in rice production through provision of adequate water supply.
As a farmer, I will enjoy increased yields and a boost in my rice supply business.I currently have a chain of retailers and hotels whom I supply the Mwea pure pishori.I started this business after harvesting my farm two months ago.due to the high demand, I had to continue the supply even after I sold all the harvest, buying from other farmers, and have managed to open an outlet at Juja town center just next to the main market entrance.
I have managed to buy 1000kgs at a cost of KSh.90 per kilo and i normally sell at KSH.120 per kilo, translating to a net profit of KSH.20,000 within one month.
However the demand has grown so high and requires me to have an additional stock and even calls for improved packaging methods to cater for supermarkets supply and also give me a competitive advantage. I therefore require to register a supply company and publish a labeled packaging materials. Company registration with the local government will cost KSH.15,000 while printing of the labeled packaging materials will cost KSH.10,000.
I hereby request for financial assistance.
Thank you.
