About Me
Mr name is Wilson Wasonga and love books from my young age and have been small scale books seller in Kenya. I have a family with children and now 38 years old Living in my own build house after saving some cash for the last ten years. With my goal to being financial independents i want now to concentrate in building t my mission.
So i decided to get some funds to help me reach my goal in the next five years.
Born and raised in Kenya, have gone to education up to college level and in the books business experience of ten years, I request for the consideration to help me reach my dream of opening school supermarket by the end of 2022.
my major aim is to help those who cannot afford school products in learning days by renting them the used and new school books and stationary at a fees so that their children and themselves can get the required learning materials.
My Business
Am a books-man and that is how my business is referred in Kenya [Ruiru Books]
I started my business in 2008 after the Kenyan went to election, with my little money of $4. I open a stall and have been struggling with it for over the years giving me small income where I keep others and restock the remaining.
Its is a challenging business because it has some peak months in January, February, April, August and December. so that is the time i get good business while part of the months the business provide availability to survive on. So as i approach the season I wanted to get some cash to make it viable by the end of the year.
in good times it generate even an income of $450 or $600, but buy the lower sides it can generate between $300 and $400.
For now I have one employee together with my wife who help me to cater for the business.
As I conclude, the new line in business has now push me to apply for a helping hand in this line as our country has now introduced a new curriculum which has resulted into part of the business.
I will use the cash to buy calculators for school which goes for $4 a piece due to schools in kenya many students need to use them in exams so i will be able to sell them at $6 a piece which will result to some profits to the business, then i will reduce the parent and student in looking for calculators as i will bring them to my store.
As the time goes by i will have to get a person responsible in the department so that i can emphasis on other area so creating employment to other people.
