About Me

My name is Rosemary Gichuki. I live in Nairobi Kenya. I am employed as a Manager in a company where we process and sell bottle drinking water.

I am a single mum of two young adults who have left the nest. It wasn't easy bringing them up, and I tried all kind of businesses to make ends meet. So they have their own lives now and I would encourage all the single mums and dads here never to give up. Always give your best. I used to hawk clothes and beauty products in between jobs.

Two years ago, I was running a boutique for second hand clothes. Covid came and I was forced to close the shop because business was very low and I couldn't afford to continue paying the rent and the shop attendant. My stock is still in the house and I want to re-open the same now as somehow business have started coming up. I was buying bales of women and children clothes and selling on retail.

The beauty with women and children clothes is that people do frequent impromptu buying compared to men's clothes.

My passion is farming. In a few years I want to farm fulltime for the local and international markets. I believe there is good returns when done well.

My Business

Currently I am employed and at the same time I make snacks at home and sell to my friends and colleagues. I am also called upon to cook for guests in my fiends or relatives homes when hey have a function.

Project Proposal

I will buy a bale of ladies trench coats as this is the rainy season. It will compliment what I have in stock.

    Dear Backers,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your support in making my second-hand clothes venture a reality. Your trust and generosity have been instrumental in its success, and I'm excited to share the impact it has had on my life.

    **Project Recap:**
As you may recall, my project aimed to create a sustainable business selling second-hand clothes. I'm thrilled to report that the venture has not only met but exceeded my expectations. Here are some key highlights:

    1. **Positive Environmental Impact:** Through your support, I am able to divert hundreds of kilograms of clothing from landfills. This not only reduces waste but also helps in lowering the carbon footprint associated with clothing production.

    2. **Economic Empowerment:** The venture has provided me with a stable source of income, allowing me to pursue my passion and contribute to my community in meaningful ways.

    3. **Community Engagement:** I've also been actively involved in local charity initiatives, donating clothing to those in need, and promoting the importance of sustainable fashion in our community.

    **Your Impact:**
I want you to know that your contribution played a significant role in making all of this happen. Without your support, none of these achievements would have been possible. Your belief in the project's vision has not only transformed my life but has also made a positive impact on the environment and our community.

    **What's Next:**
As I reflect on the success of this project, I'm already planning my next venture. Rest assured, your support will continue to drive positive change and innovation. I would love to have you on board for the next exciting chapter.

In the coming weeks, I'll be sharing more details about my upcoming project. I hope you'll consider supporting it once again and being a part of our journey.

Thank you once more for your incredible support. Together, we're making a real difference.
