About Me
I am Beatrice a single mother of two school going teens.I am a hard working honest lady with an open mind approach to life.I believe we all have potential to improve/better our lives and in the process empower others.....
I was born in the southern part of Kenya,Nyanza province to be exact.I am the first born in a family of six.I had an average childhood.I say average coz although I didn't have all that luxury I managed to get my education without any difficulties.While in high school I lost my mother who was my pillar an this kind of affected me generally.After high school my grades could not allow me join university so the next option was to join tertiary college which never came ti be coz i met this man whose love swept me off my feet so we got married but the marriage did not last,we separated leaving with the burden of providing for my kids.
Although I have a part time job the same does not earn me enough money to meet my family's needs.So I started the business as side hustle when I realised I had difficulties in meeting my family's needs.
Currently I live in the coastal region.what I love about the coast is the culture of the people here not forgetting their food and beautiful beaches.
Just to let you know,we have an organized group which we started as with around twenty ladies.Our main objective is to empower ourselves economically with the aim of encouraging more ladies in decision making.
Under the group we have a traditional dance troupe which we use as an income activity as well as for culture preservation.Through the group we habe managed to open income generating activities for two of our members and we are hoping to do more as God enables us.
My Business
My business deals in general supplies but due to capital constraints am currently able to supply toiletries to hotels but am starting get orders to supply housekeeping items as well kitchen utensil.I chose this kind of business because the goods are readily available and also their prices take long to change which then means the quotations made are safe.At the moment I plough back the profits in order to increase the business working capital but at times use the profits to pay for children's education.
Loan Proposal
I will use the money to buy 3 bales of jumbo toilet tissues at 31.56 usd each which I will sell at 46.50 usd each making a profit of usd 14.94 per bale.
I will plough back the profit into the business because I need more money at my disposal to enable me service the increasing regular orders.
As I had indicated early my daughter is doing her final year in college so I intend to use every bit of profit to service available orders in order to make more money to clear her college fee balance to enable her sit for her final exams. this will be a great achievement for my children in general more especially my daughter
