I am a Kenyan Lady aged 45 years. i was born and brought up in Nakuru Town where my parents were second hand clothes sellers. i went through my primary & secondary education in nakuru town. i attended mwangaza college of business studies and later joined Star women self help group and after saving for six months i acquired a loan of Kshs.7500. i started selling second hand handbags. having being brought up by business parents i felt it is something within the family. I have been getting loans and doing different small businesses which enable me earn a living and repay the loan.
Our land is not very productive and that is why i venture into business other than farming.
My children also want to be business citizens because they are the ones who i leave behind to man the business while i am in the field/market.
Reading motivational books and weekly business magazines and watching documentaries of successful business people in the world.
I sell Kerosene, second hand cloths, bags, shoes and charcoal in bags.
these goods are useful because where i stay the people live in different categories. some can afford kerosene, others charcoal as fuel. Most of them cant go to supermarket or to town to buy new clothes, bags or shoes.
I use the profit by paying school fees, re-investing in the business and other family up-keeps.
If given the loan, I would like to start the business of gas filing due to my customers demand.
I highly appreciate your concern on your borrowers. I must confess that the previous loan has been of much assistance to me.
I promise to honour my promise.

Virginia
