About Me

I am Hermon Omondi a 38 year old Kenyan who sponsored myself after high school to University and started a motortricycle business in Kisumu Kenya after securing a loan. I use Zidisha loan in maintenance of the same. I am also a high school teacher in Siaya County of Kenya

My Business

I pump in money into my two businesses of a beverage shop and tuktuk from online loans and salary. I save money from the motortricycle business and add it on to the beverage business which I conduct in my rural village in Usigu Division of Siaya County Kenya. I however decided to specialize on the Bar business. I have improved the Alcohol business and changed name to Dimorez Lounge which is doing well.

Loan Proposal

I would like to boost my stock in the beauty shop that I co-own with my mum at Usigu Village of Siaya County in Kenya named Kalula Beauty Salon. This is supposed to be a complimentary business to support my income based on the inconsistent nature of transport business since the tuktuks are already depreciating and have to use a lot of maintenance costs. This will in turn boost my stock in the pub and beauty shop.

I have just resumed my business after the Kenyan Government opened bars and restaurants and I haven't stabilized. Zidisha app was also faulty and I couldn't reschedule my repayment earlier as much as I wanted to.

I have witnessed a drop in my daily/weekly sales and would like to have my instalments reviewed as I strategize.

I changed my line of business to pure focus on Bar and restaurant. I thank my lenders but request the Zidisha team to improve on rates to friendlier margins.

Zidisha is becoming a bad lender. How do you tell me my limit is 29000 Kenya Shillings then take away almost 10k and tell me my take home is about 19k after deduction of credit risk and interest then ask to take away another 4350 to expedite the loan?

I appreciate Zidisha, through zidisha, I managed to expand my bar (Dimorez Lounge) to a big and nice entertainment joint. A big thanks to the lenders. I now have a serious need of increasing stock for meaningful savings and operational costs management.

I decided to overpay so that I avoid paying the next installment but realized the system cannot post date. This is because of financial pressure that I have foreseen as I plan to expand my business in coming weeks.

I had an improvement in my business, changed the look of my premises which is a Lounge for selling licensed alcoholic drinks and food. I however haven't been able to honor my previous instalments due to this start up which needed a huge investment from my other sources and the existing business. This means I would need time to balance my books to resume regular repayments.
