My name is Esther, a young woman who is doing business of selling second hand clothes in Bamburi area in Kenya's coast. I was born in Mombasa and attended school up to secondary school. I do not have any professional training for now but I hope to join a management college to do a course in human resource management. I hope to continue doing business for now until I get enough money to fund my education.
I am single and living with my parents. My hobbies are reading and traveling and I always do these activities whenever time and resources allow.
I sell second hand clothes. I mostly sell ladies dresses and skirts. I buy my stock from people who import these clothes from Europe and North America. Many people prefer these imported second hand clothes because they say they are durable and cost less than new clothes.
I run the business on rented premises where I pay $20 as monthly rent. My business gives me around $120 but I am hoping to make it grow in the near future and generate more income. I use this money for my upkeep and to support my parents when they fall short of cash.
I plan to buy shirts and jackets with this money. The money is enough to buy about half a dozen jackets and about the same number of shirts. These two are always in high demand and the new stock will boost the existing one.
This will be an advantage since my clients will have a wider variety and increase my sales thus increasing my profit as well.
Thank you very much and I hope you will find time to read my proposal and make your contribution.
