About Me

Am a university graduate in Agribusiness management, since graduation i have never had a reasonable job. I am teaching Business and Agriculture in a brotherhood private high school, beside this i have employed one person to run my motorbike to carry people and luggage from which i earn averagely $ 80 per month. With this earning i have engaged in production of horticulture (kales, cabbage and Tomatoes). I am looking for funds to start green house to improve my tomato production and teach other farmers on its benefit. I am a husband and a father to one lovely daughter happily living together. i believe i can jobs to many jobless kenyans' through farming

My Business

I have four sources of income, from teaching i earn $ 140 per month, Motorbike transportation $80. i also help in distributing poor friendly solar systems that light the villages where there is no access to Electricity, from which i earn about $40 as commission per month. my horticulture though on small scale am able to raise income of $ 50 . Total income is $310. in the last two month i have saving $95 towards Greenhouse from Amiran Kenya at cost of $ 2000. i believe this can change my life and enable me create more jobs. i will use the loan to increase the acreage of my horticulture and with time buy the green house technology.

Loan Proposal

I borrowing the funds to buy a super money maker foot pump sold by Kickstart international. I am establishing a seed bed mid october. The month of october upto february next year will reacieve low rainfal and sometimes a dry spell sets in. I thereafore need a a pump that can help me irrigation of one acre and a half peace of land under kales and cabbages. the cost of the pump is approximately $ 149 . This pump will ensure; 1 adequate moisture for my farm, 2. I will be able to maintain my productivity and 3 the output will be of good quality. in general it will be able to boast my income and savings by 10 % as l plan to install a greenhouse (my dream ) in future. Dry season always attracts good prices due to scarcity.

Market for vegetables has seeped low due to plenty supply. I also invested money in a brick baking which is yet to pay back. Once the market situation improves I will increase my repayment to clear early the loan. I request to reschedule to KES 350 weekly. I also reschedule from Thursday to Monday of every week.

i bought the cabbage and tomato seeds, i realized i need to supplement other practices like tillage cost and fertilizer. therefore i request to adjust my weekly payment from ksh 500 ($5.5) to Ks 300 ($ 4). This payment will affect this month of June, as from July i will a bit financially stable and be able to shorten the payment period. My earnings from the motorbike are used partly to expand my solar business. The remaining cash will be used to service the Zidisha loan and maintain the Motorcycle. i am confident that i will be able ti clear the loan on time and seek more funds to achieve my green house dream. The reason why i am supplementing the budget i realized the loan was reduced by abt 12 dolars which i understand it was meant for registration.
