About Me

This Hagai Kalumba from Lusaka, Zambia. I completed my secondary education in 2014.

Due to limited funds, I could not manage to attend college. My Father passed on while in grade 10. My mother supported me and my siblings from her tailoring business.

However, she could not manage to sponsor me to college so I started up a small business to help me and supplement my mother.

My Business

My source of income is the tailoring business that my mother runs. Since she is advancing in age, I want to take up that business on full time. She has taught me the designing and sewing skills but I am not certified.
So I need money to get a trade certificate and procure another sewing machine.

Project Proposal

I want to buy sewing materials so that I can make school uniforms to sale to different schools as the new academic year begins.

I want increase the allowance for my helper and move to a bigger shop that has a bigger space.

from the funds I will get from Zidisha, I'm expecting to increase my profit margin by 70%.

To all the seven funders to my project, I would like to express my appreciation and heart felt thanks.

The funds will help me purchase sewing materials so that I can design school uniforms and later sale to different schools.

The funds will help me to employ a helper and move into a bigger shop.

Again, thanks for funding my project. may your generosity motive me and others to fund other projects.

In my previous loan, I managed to buy sewing materials which I made different school uniforms. I sold these and made a modesty profit.

During the process, I engaged one youth in my community to help me, the work was not manageable by one. I also trained him on how to cut and sew.

The proceeds have been used to pay a modesty allowance to my helper so that he can support himself and his family.
