About Me

I was born on June 26th 1994 four as the first born in a family of 4, I grew up well. I started schooling in 1998 when I joined St Augustine Primary School , it was not easy with me since I had to cover 2km everyday morning and eving, the family could not peovid transport therefore I had just to walk. By the grace of God I was able to sit for my KCPE exam and I passed well, to join the high school was a bit difficult despite the good result, through hardworking and determination I was able to join high school though most of the time I was on road because of lack of fees. After high school I became a hawker just to earn my self a long and also save money for my higher level education, it was difficult but because is as determined despite city council arresting us most of the time I succeeded.

My Business

I have a bookshop that sales stationeries and offers computer services that includes typesetting and photocopying. These goods and services are of essential and therefore they are highly on demand due to the population within the area. Why I choose this type of business is that the area I come from had no any shop that could provide parents, and schools and learners with necessary learning materials and equipments and therefore I decided to take this great opportunity to offer goods and computer services to customers. My daily costs and revenue are estimated at USD 120 dollars per month. Mostly I make a profit of USD 10. Out of this 50% usually goes on food, rent and other basic needs, 20% on school fees and the remained I invest back into business.

Loan Proposal

since most of schools now prefer A4 exercise books over A5, I will use my loan to buy 2 cartons of A4 exercise books where by one carton costs 3.4 US dollars, 6 copies of new competencecurriculum where by one copy costs 2 Us dollars and one carton of Biro pens that cost 4.3 US dollars. these goods will helpe take care of my family, expand my business and pay back the loan since I will be expecting to increase my profit from 15 dollars to 25dollars.

Made a few payments early on, but has not been heard from since August 2018. In June 2020, I transferred the loan to the Zidisha Members Loan Fund.
