About Me

My Business

my business entail in buying plot or land in this area and then cut it to a small potion of plot and sell it to any who can afford and also where i can get profit .the business is good in profit because like now people are coming from as far as Nairobi to look where to buy plot to build homestead because to buy land in Kenya now have became very costly in other area, but here in kiptagwanyi the price is low because this land have no title deed .the main challenges is lack of finance that accelerated by high interest rate in local micro finances

Loan Proposal

thank you zidisha and lenders,in this loan i will add to the money i have and buy a shamba which i have already spotted and negotiated from the owner that she will sell to me,then i will be able to ct it to plot so that i can sell to the people who is in need for a place to build a house for the family.in that way i will be able to get profite and able to repay in time .thank you

    Dear lenders,

I have phoned Hannah today at 8.50am . She is fine. She explains that she has had one major challenge. She is quite apologetic for her non-repayment.

On receiving the loan on March 2013, she deposited the amount in her bank account in a local bank where she believed the money will be very safe.

Unfortunately in April 2013 the bank fell victim to ATM fraudsters. Most of its customers were affected. A customer would wake up to find money is missing in their account. Hannah was one of them. She personally lost about $1800 from her account.

She has made several attempts to recover the funds. She visited the bank's regional & national headquarters. Every time she visits their offices she is told that investigates are still on-going.

She is herself computer illiterate & requires assistance to post any comment on her loan profile. This explains her few comments over time.

She however promises to work hard to repay what she was loaned through zidisha.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    VM Samuel Shehi.

thank you dear zidisha lenders for granting me this opportunity.first i have decided to reschedule my loan because the market of buying and selling of plots in this area have gone down due to abrupt weather change.the season is rainy thus it becomes more and more difficult to access buyers and also most of the people in the area have turned down to farming.but God wishes by the end of this month i will make sure that i will fulfill the agreement.

Hello Hannah, how are you? I am busy with preparing my choirs for concerts, and also planting my garden, as it is spring here in Japan. I am planting tomatoes and basil and fertilizing my fruit trees. My garden is very small but I enjoy growing things in it.

You are a Proverbs 31 woman!

Proverbs 31:16-17 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

Hi Hannah, some of the zidisha volunteers were worried you wouldn't reach the 100% goal. But here you are. Just shows what we can do when we all work together. Best of luck.

The French is just your "my story," "about my business", and "purpose of loan" translated so that French-speaking lenders can read it!

Here is a translation into French (not by me, my French isn't that good)
Je suis veuve avec 5 enfants à charge, tous en âge scolaire.J'habite "
Kiptagwanyi " 43 kilomètres de la ville de "Nakuru" où on peut faire
des activités commerciales importantes. Je suis à l' adresse no 566.Ici
A Kiptagwanyi

i want to send my gratitude to you mr pentatonicscale because of your much concern about what i go through, you know this delay of my loan made a big damage in my business ,but now i can try to recover the lost,i hope one day in this life lord will reward you back the good concern you have taken because of my loan.i have been lost, not knowing what to say because this platform is not like bank counter where somebody can talk face to face with the manager.but now i am back and i don't want to remember the past i focus in the future ,but if i can give zidisha advice it is time to have office here in kenya and also in kiptagwanyi so that we and you lenders can negotiate if any concern arise ,many people are ready even me i got a girl who complete a level last year she can volunteer because of her mother.thank you pentatonicscale and god bless you.[hannah waithira]
