I am 35 years old married and blessed with 3 children, a girl and 2 boys. As far as the education is concern, I reached standard eight of primary education because my parents could not afford the school fees for secondary school. When I was at school I used keeping rabbits and chicken which I take care of during my free time. These helped me when I left school for I sold it and started my own Kiosk for selling items like cooking fat, sugar, salt maize flour among other things. I started my Kiosk at home in Wakanguthi farm near Burma farm 5km from Salgaa town which is 30 km from Nakuru town the way to Eldoret. While in school ,i used to play foot ball and net ball as well.I was very tough when it comes to the game.My colleague used to shout when the game beggar till last minutes.
From Kiosk that I quoted above grew to be a small supper market which I transferred to Salgaa town and serves the entire Salgaa and its surrounding community. My business continued improving up to 2007-2008 when it was all destroyed during the post election violence and left me to zero. I was left without anything until when I got a loan from the above group and I started a different business of buying milk from farmers and sell it to individuals and it’s picking up. I do have a milk bar in Salgaa town.As the culture of African, almost every body used tea in every morning,so my product is in demand.In-fact in the young age till old age, my parent used to practice Dairy farming and i together with our younger sister and brother.During this period, i came to learn more about this business. The profits i got from this business,i used to pay for my children's school fees and other to cater for my family needs.
Thanks to zidisha fraternity for capacity building. Thanks to lenders for their hand in this process. This second loan i intend to use it in purchase of chest deep freezer for KES70,000 which will help my business in preservation of milk. The balance KES 87,000 i will use it in purchase of motorbike which i will use in transportation of milk form farmers ,source, to my milk bar, roads are in very poor condition.Appealing to lenders to bid toward this plan. .
