About Me

My
names are tom mwaura from narok town and also a resident of the same
town since 2008.I am a businessman whose business deals in purchasing
scrap metal and waist plastic can.I am the fourth born of a family of
two sister and two brothers.I was born in the year 1990.i was enrolled
in primary school level and later joined secondary school level and
finished in 2007 having passed very well.Due to my love in conservation
of environment i decided to enroll myself in the business of scrap metal
and waste can.In this way i felt that more than doing the business,i
was exercising my passion of keeping the environment clean thus killing
two bird with one stones.I usually buy this waste materials at a cheaper
price and then sell them to recycling factory at profit price. The
profit that i get i usually use to expand the business and for my daily
upkeep.

My Business

I
am a businessman whose business deals in purchasing scrap metal and
waist plastic can. This scrap metal that we purchase range from
copper, aluminum, zink, brass etc and also plastic cans from water, soda
bottles. There is a high demand of this good due to conducive business
and good government policy that favor the recycling company's in our
country hence more factories have emerged thus increasing high demand of
waste materials. The business is profitable because we purchase the
waste at a low cost and sell them at a profit.Currently the business
faces the risk of space to accommodate the goods that i am buying since
my business is located at small space. My monthly cost is about 20000ksh
and sales revenue of about 40000ksh hence getting a profit of about
20000ksh per month(n/b this amount are estimation because they vary due
to numerous factors within the month)The first amount given by zidisha
lenders will be used to aid me in acquiring another room adjacent to my
business in order to create more space for the storing of purchased
goods

Loan Proposal

The first loan given will be used to aid in renting a new room which will aid in growth of the business us i had explained earlier that my business is currently facing a challenge of space since the room which i store my goods is to small.Already i have managed to spot a room which is adjacent to my other business room and only what i am left of is to only to pay the house rent which its my hope that the leaders would lend me with the amount needed as soon as possible.

    Hey zidisha,
i would like to inform you that am surprised that i did send my amount on time of 1000ksh but i was surprised to find out that it was not reflected on my loan account and thus made me to pay another 1000ksh.Does this mean the 1000ksh i did pay before which i still have a confirmation message from mpesa, has disappeared!please investigate about the issue

      Hi Tom Mwaura,

I'm just a lender, but I saw your comment in the member updates feed. I sent an email with your comment to [email protected]. You should email them when you have a concern such as this.
I know that they manually credit the repayments and it usually takes three business days for a payment to appear on your account.
Maybe something was just delayed with one of your payments.

Best wishes that it is cleared up soon.

      Dear Tom,

Thank you for the message. As evinpa mentioned, it can take up to three business days for payments to be posted to your account. I believe we have posted the first KES 1000 that you paid on February 8th. Can you email us at [email protected] and let us know the date you made your second payment?

      Thank you,
      Bayle, Zidisha Team
