About Me

My name is Collins Mogusu. I am a self-motivated, hardworking, determined and self-confident and God fearing person. I am a teacher employed by the board of management (BOM) Elgon View Secondary School. I am awaiting employment by the Government. I have gone to college and graduated but well paying jobs are hard to find in my country. But i have chosen to seize this teaching opportunity because i have a passion to solve other people's problems while still earning some money for living. I also practice small scale farming back at home where i grow cabbages at sell at local markets. Currently U have managed to take over a boutique by buying it from someone and I need Zidisha to boost this business.

My Business

I am both a teacher and an emerging farmer. My main source of income is my teaching activity where i am able to earn 16000 shillings plus other benefits. My farming activity has also been successful after recieving my first loan from you. Currently I use my income to try and expand the boutique i just acquired but I need Zidisha to come in and boost my boutique.

Loan Proposal

Hi zidisha, I am happy for this chance to improve my farming sector activity of the moment. I am applying for this loan in order to buy herbicides, and chemicals to prevent frost and cabage and spinach diseases. Currently, I already have estabslished half acre of cabbages and quarter acre spinach which need to be sprayed with various chemicals to control weeds, pests and diseases. They are at critical stage where any delay may cause a lot of loss. With this $100 loan, I will be able to buy selective herbicides worth $20, other chemicals worth $50 and hire manual labour with the remaining amount of $30. With more than 1500 heads of cabbages and almost similar in spinach section, I am sure I will serve the market at december where foodstuffs are required in large quantities. This kind of farming requires good timing and i timed their maturation around december and January when prices must be high. I will be very glad to have this loan at this time and therefore i request zidisha lenders to finance my loan application for this purpose. Thanks so much.
