About Me

My name is Florence Adu from Akatsi in Ghana. My father was a peasant farmer and my mother, a Seamstress. The hardship we went through as to what to eat (3 times daily) and clothes to wear was just unbearable. Hmmmmm...!
Unfortunately, my parents and my other four siblings were crossing the Volta Lake one day to farm, the boat capsized and they were drowned. This is the bitterest story of my life that I don't like telling people.
Some months later, I went to one tailor in my neighborhood and told him that, I want bring my mother's sewing machine so that he teaches me how to sew. The man agreed and gave me time to start which I heeded.
This man became my parent and taught me all that I needed to know about sewing.
The discussion above is a brief story about my life. Thanks

My Business

About my business, the incomes I have generated from going round the community sewing for people, made me to save moneys which I have used to rent a store for my shop.
I have duely informed my clients that, I had gotten a store/shop for my business so I wouldn't be going round again; so when they have something to sew, they should bring it to the shop.
Two months after opening this shop, my husband passed away and left me with 3 children who are all in school. Consequently, the little money I have saved to buy materials was used to pay my children's school fees and I came back to square zero.

Loan Proposal

I am very grateful to the Zidisha team and my cherished lenders for the first loan granted me. It has really enhanced my business. Thank you all.

I wish to meekly apply for a second loan of GHS 119.00 to buy Ghanaian made Fabrics/materials to sew nice dresses such as my clients love. This would increase my revenue thereby positioning me to cater for my family and also expand my business.

I counting on your usual cooperation.

Thank you

Business has not been too good these and the has resulted in a decline in my income. This development has informed my decision to reduce the weekly amount payable so I do not default.
    Thanks.

Thank you very much, Madam Margaret for this great help you have offered me. May the good Lord bless you bountifully.

I once met a young lady, Clementina (a Zidisha Borrower ) who told me about how one of her lenders called Margaret is always concerned about her business and well-being. I am convinced you are the said Margaret...
Thanks for the good work you're doing to both God and mankind.

    Regards
    Florence

Thank you very much, Ms Margaret for single-handedly funding my project. May the good Lord continue to bless you. I wish to also unreservedly thank Zidisha, our mediator, for giving me the second chance to raise a loan.
I can assure you that, as soon as I receive the loan, I will quickly buy those materials or fabrics and sew just as stated in the proposal.
    Thank you all once again.

I have received orders at the later part of February which I have worked very hard and met the demands of my clients. This has helped me raked in money so I want to settle my remaining loan.
    Thanks

    Hello, my Lender
I was able to buy some few fabrics with the loan. I have been able to sew five (5) pieces of dress from them. Unfortunately, they are yet to be bought. At the moment, I do not have enough money to pay the scheduled amount.
Consequently, I meekly wish to reduce the amount so I don't default payment. I will readjust the amount if sales begin.
    Thanks

A big thanks to the Zidisha team and my lender for this great support. I really appreciate. This loan will help me to buy fabrics or materials that I can sew, sell and make some money to look after my children and also to be able to eat 3 times daily. It will also help me to extend financial helping hands to others in the society.
