About Me

My name is Angellina nyamai. I am 25 years old and i have grown up in rural Eastern Kenya. I completed high school in 2012. Due to the fact that I could not raise enough fees, I could not continue with my education. I therefore opted for menial jobs in our rural place.since then I have been saving so that I can start a business. I feel that such a business would give me some income so that I can attend college. I managed to start a small retail shop at Nairobi. With Help of Zidisha Previous loans I have been able to expand the shop to include mobile money transfer agency-Mpesa agency. This has increased my earnings considerably

My Business

My business is a small retail shop selling general merchandise in residential areas in Nairobi (maternity estate). I also sell grocery products outside the shop not to mention that i still have some cereals and charcoal.The shop is productive enough to allow me to survive in Nairobi. However, it hardy allows me to save and as such i would like to expand my business horizons to new ventures. I have also added a money transfer service commonly known as Mpesa here in Kenya. I seen my revenues have started to increase and i can now save

Loan Proposal

Now that my shop is well established, I have notice some gap in the cooking gas retail business. There is hardly no one doing such a business within a radius of 3 kilometers. I therefore would like to start this business . I expect the initial cost to hit 130 dollars. Therefore I will add the loan to my saving and buy the initial gas cylinders. The initial cost will also go into buying a gas cylinder rack complete with lock where i lock the cylinders for security reasons. This is going to expand my earnings-another income revenue. I expect a months net profit of Ksh 10, 000 .
