About Me

Am Paul Kiratu from Maaimahiu town Naivasha Sub county Nakuru county in Kenya.I was born at Limuru town Kiambu county and schooled at Manguo Primary school and later Ngenia high school where I sat for my o level exams. After school I came to Maaimahiu to look for casual jobs as a work hand at a construction site. by saving a little of my wages I bought my first computer. I started the job in 2011 and I have seen it grow up to now. Am married and a father of two kids, one aged six and the other two. I feed them from my job.

My Business

I run a cybercafe at Maaimahiu town which offers several services like photocopy, typesetting, lamination, internet among other services. I opened the cyber four years ago. I started with one computer and a desk jet printer. currently I have three computers and two laser jet printers, one which I bought with my first loan. I also have two chairs and a bench which are used by the customers. I started this job since I saw need and gaps in the industry within the town. I did not have prior computer knowledge but I learnt by practice and can now handle almost all computer tasks. I make about 8 dollars a day, and about 240 dollars per month. I will use these proceeds to repay the loan.

Loan Proposal

With my second loan, I plan to upgrade my current computers to modern ones and faster ones. All of them are p3, 1.3ghz and 10gb hard disk and a RAM of 128 mb. My plan is to buy two new computers, p4, duocore 2.6, 250gb hard disk, and RAM 2gb. Each computer will go for about 100 dollars. Thew will go a long way towards improving my work rate and therefore returns.

Dear Zidisha,
I am writing this email with lots of regret since I have defaulted my loan for quite some time. I beg for your forgiveness and commit myself into repaying my loan within the shortest time possible. The reason for defaulting was due to skirmishes that occurred in the place I was living immediately after elections that led to collapse and closure of my business back then, however, I have managed to settle somewhere else and I have opened my business again. Kindly allow me to pay back my loan and to mend our relationship again.

Hi lender , my business has been doing well,the computer I bought have been a great help, thou I got a car accident that deeply affected my leg for the whole of last year and this year, which made me close the job almost two year,although I have to recovered I plan to reopen this January, and get back yo paying my loan

I would like to lower my repayment to Zidisha from 308 to 200 due to the high competition from other mushrooming cybers. The business has been highly affected but as soon as things get back to normal, I shall re-adjust my payment. The loan has really helped me because I have bought new P4 computers which are faster in processing data than the previous ones. I hope the business to pick up very soon.

From my first loan,I bought a laserjet printer and currently have two for printing and photocopy.The machines are multi purpose as they print, photocopy and scanning. They are fast and efficient.My customer base has increased and customer satisfaction is now guaranteed.

Zidisha is changing my life for since I bought a new laser jet printer, my daily earnings have improved significantly and am really grateful. Before I got the loan from Zidisha, I had a single printer and in case it broke down, I could lose a lot of money but now I got two printers and my services are really good as evident from my customers remarks.
