About Me

My name is Carolyne Anindo Amasai and a resident of Upendo Estate in Free Area Estate that is off Nakuru -Nairobi highway.l am the second born in our family of seven members and my siblings are in various colleges here in Nakuru.l graduated five years ago from Egerton University here in Njoro Nakuru with a degree in Bio-Chemistry Technology but due to scarcity of the jobs in the market l decided to apply for a biology teacher at Shiners Girls High School. l was promoted to serve as the deputy due to my improved performance. I also started a cosmetic shop with an Mpesa business due to high market demand so as to earn an extra coin. l use my earnings to support my family and my siblings who are still in college.

My Business

I would like to support my cosmetic and Mpesa business because i found it to be a very profitable business of which i make a great living in its small market, and as a fact, big businesses have more money than small ones because they can outspend in every way to performance to safety testing to advertising and marketing.I can also use the money to get my products in stores and get price breaks on packaging and raw materials.More money naturally leads to other advantages that is to why i would really appreciate Zidisha's support so as to expand my business.On a good month l am able to make Ksh 20,000 as net profit. Though the business has many challenges such as competition if my application is successful l will use the money to expand my business which will enable me to have more produce that will result to increased income.

Loan Proposal

M-PESA being now used for all sorts of person-to-person payments, this business will grow. My business of m-pesa and cosmetic. When i started m-pesa and cosmetic business i kept my cosmetic business simple by selling just to my friends,neighbors and family. Now my network has grown really big through referrals that are referred by testing the quality of my products. I am planning to increase my capital and float of cash on M-pesa and more products of salon and beauty suppliers.
