I am so humbled to be associated with you.

I must admit l have both spiritually and physically seen and felt growth since l joined zidisha.
Spiritually the news letter l receive and seeing other people positive comments.

Physically l can see the far l have come from .l started with 20pigs now l have a capacity of over 55pigs.

Hi Tom, thanks for reaching out and wanting to learn more about our business and the reason why am promoting clean energy. Energy poverty is pervasive in rural and slum communities of Chipata. over 70% of the population is not connected to electricity and still uses traditional sources of energy. many rely on kerosene lamps for lighting. each kerosene lamp releases a ton of carbon dioxide smoke every year, contributing to global warming, and creating risks of burns, pneumonia, bronchitis and lung cancer. The lamps are too dim for good reading and kerosene purchases eat up family income.

For example, it cost a household $85 per year on kerosene purchase for use to study, cooking and lighting. In addition to the cost of buying kerosene, this source of energy is not reliable and has health hazards.

My Company has embarked on distributing solar lamps to students and families so that we replace kerosene use with clean solar lamps that are affordable and lights 10x more than a kerosene lamp. The solar lamp will cost a household $15 and comes with a 1 year warranty. just the purchase of this lamp saves a student or family $70 which they can use to improve their nutrition intake, or invest in their children education.

Hope this explain why am so passionate about this business proposal.

Hi family, meet my new friends. I met this children when they were collecting firewood, scrap metals and plastic to sell. They do that every weekend so as to raise money for their upkeep, and school fees. I try to cheer them up by having buns ready for them every time they pass through my neighbourhood. June has been a busy month. I am happy that there are more chicken laying eggs now, and we had more birds in the coop to replace those that died over the course of the last five months.
We are inching closer to our target population.

Feed production has been okay. Although I need to find a way to bring the costs of feeds even lower.

The boys are doing fine with their schooling.
