About Me

My childhood life was difficult ,my parents divorced when I was young and I was raised single handily with my late mother. Although we could spend some days with no food mum always struggled to make me and my young sister g to school. I went to ukwala primary passed well and proceeded to Ngiya girls secondary school,I passed well and joined maseno university where I was forced to defer at my second year due to fees problems.
After my deferment from college I almost gave up in life for I knew I could not afford to make the required money,I joined Yolee youth group and we received training on poultry production. We could also make contributions and get loans, I took a loan of $100 and bought 5 mature hens and a cock,i did not have a poulty house and so I always spend my nights with the birds in my house. After a few days the all started laying eggs and then brooding. I was able to get my first set of 60 chicks from 5 birds , 10 died and 50 successfully grew. I am now in my final year at the university ,courtesy of poultry farming.
I play basket ball during my free time, I also love reading novels and watching movies.

My Business

I keep indigenous poultry in my farm and sell fertilized eggs and live poultry for meat. I mainly sell the cocks to avoid inbreeding and buy cocks for breeding.
The desire by many families for white meat explains why the demand for poultry is high.
I choose these business because it is easy to manage and the market for poultry and eggs is readily available .
my monthly costs average are $200 for feeds and labor and my monthly revenues on average are $ $450 per month.
I use 50% of my income to cater for my university fees and the rest for reinvestment and paying fees for my sister.

Loan Proposal

I am very thankful to you all lenders.I am requesting for another loan to help me buy a generator that I would use during blackouts, these will helped reduce losses because eggs often go bad when there is a blackout lasting more than 8 hours,I have suffered losses but i think the generator would be the solution. I would top up $300 loan with $100 to get the generator. Thank you in advance

Greetings Lorine, I hope you are doing well and the poultry business is doing well too. Did you get the generator? I am just wondering why you have not made any payments. If you can't at this time please let the lenders know. If you plan on payments at a later time please let us know. If you don't intend to repay the loan then the lenders would like to know that too so we can move on. It has been a long time and no communication from you.Thanks. James
