About Me

I was born in Kenya, Nakuru county, Bahati constituency. I sat for my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in the year 2013. I am the third born in a family of seven with both parents. I got employed by a village my neighbor where he has rared so many chickens, cows, sheep and goats and that's where I got the idea of raring poultry and livestock at my home and and from my savings I began with chickens. Maili Sita is a unique place near Menengai Crater, and as result tourists in and outside Kenya visit the area oftenly. During my free time I do research on animals and I like watching wild animal programmes and movies.

My Business

I rare, buy and sell chickens and i also sell eggs. I also have some few goats like the one in the profile picture. I decided to specialize in this type of business because I have the experience from where I am employed. I manage to sell about one hundred eggs per week and i sell each egg at ksh10 at a wholesale price, I have forty chickens and from the sale of eggs i get ksh4000 per month and I sell one cock at ksh1200 and ksh700 per hen. In addition to my salary of USD200 that is ksh18,000 i manage to cater for the monthly cost of USD20 that is ksh2000 including layers mash(chicken's food) to improve their production and their health. I reinvest my profits by buying more chicks and their food to keep the business going and as time goes by I will start investing in another area of Livestock and buy some sheep and goats then some cows.

Loan Proposal

I am going to build a winder house for my poultry which will cost USD50, so that I can rare more chicks and as result I will increase my profits at a high rate because many hens will lay many eggs per day and sin and I have a ready market for them, both eggs and chicken are currently of high demand and i already have the new bread which get mature faster and healthy. Very soon am also going to buy sheep and deal with livestock farming.

      Hi John,

Thank you for the update. If you speak to Jackson, please tell him I am happy for him to make a new arrangement. $17.61 (around 1800KES) is a very big repayment. Perhaps too big for a growing business.

I hope he is well. Please send my warm regards.

Hallo my dear lenders, I would like to share with some good news that happened right here in Kenya, The President of the United States of America, Barrack Obama was here with some famous and most successful business ladies and men, though they have left in the evening, they have inspired our country a lot and the President has said that poverty is not a hindrance for investment but fear and lack of motivation can lead to entrepreneurship failure. And being an successful entrepreneur is not a destiny but a journey. Now I am going to take their tips and emerge a perfect rancher and a business man.

    Dear Jackson,

Thank you for the message and informing us of your situation.

We believe that regular on-time repayments, no matter how small, are important to preserving a relationship of trust with lenders and our community. For this reason, we do not offer the option to delay payments. Instead, we request that you temporarily reduce your installment to an amount you can afford to pay right now, and go ahead and make that small payment. You may then increase your installment again when you are able.

To reduce your installment amount, please log into your Zidisha account and click on "Adjust Installment Amount," and follow the instructions there.

Please let us know if you have any problems,
    The Zidisha Team
